2025 Benefits (Thrive) Wrap Up

In 2025, we expanded our financial wellbeing capabilities and strengthened the mobile experience within Humanforce Thrive, making it easier for frontline and flexible workers to improve their financial health, stay engaged and complete essential HR tasks all within one simple app. From long-term financial protection tools to new HR connectivity and practical lifestyle perks, Thrive is now more powerful, intuitive and impactful than ever.

Here’s what we delivered this year:

Supporting long-term security with  Life Insurance in Thrive

This year, we introduced Life Insurance within Thrive, giving employees access to general and personalised life insurance advice , and helping to connect them to licensed insurance advisors for quotes and guidance in just a few clicks. Many people delay life insurance due to complexity. Thrive now removes that barrier, offering simple, trusted pathways to take action.

Bringing HR Tasks into the mobile experience

We also launched Thrive Tasks, bringing HR workflows and wellbeing into one seamless mobile experience. Employees can now view and complete important HR tasks such as onboarding steps, surveys, performance tasks and more inside Thrive, supported by real-time push notifications and reminders that reduce delays and improves task completion. This helps work move faster, cut manual follow-ups, and ensures employees have one central place to stay aligned and engaged.

Expanding everyday savings with new cashback merchants

This year we continued to grow the Thrive cashback program, adding major retailers and lifestyle brands to help employees stretch their budgets and enjoy meaningful everyday savings. Some of the standout additions this year include:

  • Myer
  • Expedia
  • SHEIN
  • Ticketek
  • Pizza Hut
  • Petbarn
  • Trip.com

These new partners broaden the value of Thrive’s Perks ecosystem, supporting everything from essentials and travel to fashion and petcare. More well-loved household brands are coming in 2026, expanding the program even further and strengthening Thrive as a key part of your holistic employee wellbeing offering.

Supporting day-to-day living through Earned Wage Access

While Earned Wage Access (EWA) isn’t a new capability, 2025 gave us deeper insight into how employees are actually using it, and it’s clear the feature is fulfilling it’s purpose.

EWA continues to be used primarily for everyday essentials, helping employees manage short-term cash flow and supporting day-to-day life. Whether it’s covering immediate household needs or smoothing the gap between pay cycles, EWA is providing responsible, meaningful real-world support for your employees to help them stay on top of what matters most.

Helping employees plan ahead with the Superannuation Calculator

To support long-term financial confidence, Thrive now includes an easy-to-use Superannuation Calculator that helps employees estimate their retirement balance and visualise the impact of different contribution levels so they can plan ahead.

Enhancing everyday living with new meal kit discounts

We expanded Thrive with new exclusive discounts from HelloFresh, Youfoodz and EveryPlate, making healthy eating easier and more affordable for busy frontline teams. These lifestyle perks promote wellbeing beyond the workplace while enhancing your EVP with zero additional admin.

Looking ahead to 2026

Next year, we’re continuing to expand Thrive’s role in boosting engagement, connection and everyday wellbeing. Here’s what’s on the horizon:

  • Rewards & Recognition — a new mobile-first experience that enables peer and manager recognition, celebrations and positive feedback within Thrive. This will give organisations a simple way to reinforce culture, strengthen belonging and acknowledge great work, all in the same app employees already use for wellbeing and tasks.
  • Expanded financial wellbeing features, including new tools that make budgeting and everyday money management easier for frontline workers.
  • More Perks categories and partner offers, giving employees broader savings and lifestyle support across health, home, leisure and daily living.

These enhancements will continue to position Thrive as the central mobile hub for wellbeing, engagement and everyday employee experience.
