New Release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management - Version 6.0.48

We’re excited to announce Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management Version 6.0.48, which includes improvements to display options in Roster Manager and Template Manager, and better default filtering behaviour in Timesheets.  We’re also excited to provide early access to syncing New Zealand bank account details across Humanforce HR, WFM and Humanforce Payroll.

Read on for all the details!

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 20th March 2025.
  • All Humanforce Cloud accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated to version 6.0.48 overnight on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025.

Roster Manager and Template Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager/Template Manager

New option to show Event Export Code in shift tiles

A new option for Event Export Code has been added to the Shift Detail Settings in Roster Manager and Template Manager. This allows you to view Event Export Code within the shift tile.

Roster Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

New option to show Employee Code

From Shift view, you are now able to add a column for Employee Code within the Role summary window.

Accurate Group By Location

We've fixed an issue in People view when Group By Location is applied. Employees were being displayed within all locations, instead of only the locations they were assigned to.

Accurate Hours Required calculation and display of Unavailable or on Leave warning

We've resolved an issue that was occurring within the Hours Required warning where non-attended shifts were incorrectly being included within the calculation of total hours worked.

We've resolved an issue where the employee Unavailable or on Leave warning was not shown on the shift details.  Now you will see details of the warning within the shift if the employee is rostered during a period of leave or unavailability, as well as in the Alerts panel.

Template Manager

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Accurate break validations after Date Effective is edited

We've fixed an issue that was occurring if the Date Effective date in a Template was edited. Previously this would cause incorrect break validations for overnight shifts where the break occurred after midnight.  Now all shifts will validate as expected and successfully import into the roster.

Filter options now displayed as expected

We've fixed an issue where the Event and Function filters were not displaying any options to select when clicking on the dropdown.

Timesheet Admin

Timesheets > Timesheets

Default filtering for improved performance

To improve performance, Unauthorised & No-Shows is now the default filtering applied on page load, when:

  • your browser doesn't have memory of the last filter you used on this page, or
  • the browser recalls your last view was All Timesheets or All Timesheets & No Shows.

We’ve made this change because the Unauthorised & No-Shows view is optimised for the most common Timesheet workflows, and will contribute to faster page performance.

Improvements to splitting timesheets that cross over midnight

We’ve improved the business logic within splitting timesheets that cross over midnight. When split, any splits which fall entirely within the second day were having the DateStart and PayDate values of the original timesheet. This has been rectified so their DateStart and PayDate values are updated to match the second day’s date.

Payroll (Workforce Management)

Export to Sybiz Visipay Payroll added

Humanforce Cloud now supports exporting pay runs to Sybiz Visipay Payroll (Pay Package ID:SYBIZ01). After processing a pay run, you can view it and then select Sybiz Visipay Payrun Export from the Export dropdown to download the data in the appropriate format, streamlining integration with third-party payroll systems.

New option to use Custom folder for exports to SFTP

Customers using the Generic Payroll Config now have the option to use a Custom folder if they have the Export to Humanforce SFTP setting enabled in their Pay Company settings. This can make it faster for 3rd party payroll systems to download the file from a specific location. Please contact Humanforce Support if you are interested in using this option to ensure the shared folder mapping is correct.

Humanforce Payroll

Early access to syncing New Zealand bank account details now available

With this feature, your New Zealand region employees are able to setup their New Zealand bank accounts in HR and have it sync'd through to Workforce Management and (via Workforce Management) to Humanforce Payroll. This feature is now available for early-access customers. Please reach out to your Humanforce contact to enable it in your site.

REST API

We have improved the logic when using POST for a clock out request in the restful API. Specifically to only accept UTC Datetime provided in ClockInTimeUtc and ClockOutTimeUtc fields for clocking requests. If those fields are not provided, we'll use the server UTC time. You can find more information via https://[your-subdomain].humanforce.com/swagger/ui/index (just replace the [your-subdomain] with your company's humanforce domain.

For further background information, visit Humanforce Help for an overview of the Humanforce REST API.

New Release! Humanforce HR (intelliHR) March update

We are pleased to announce some new enhancements that make the onboarding process more efficient for customers with complex HR ecosystems and improve the overall connectivity of the HR experience. In addition to this we also have some information on the recent rebranding changes.

Let’s explore!

Humanforce HR Rebrand

intelliHR is now Humanforce HR

As we continue to redefine HCM for frontline and flexible workforces at Humanforce, we are excited to announce some branding and naming changes to strengthen and truly unify our best-in-one HCM suite under one Humanforce brand.

Recently, intelliHR has become Humanforce HR. Customers will enjoy the same user experience within our product however, the intelliHR logo will be replaced by Humanforce HR.

You will notice this change throughout the platform, along with changing intelliHR ID to Humanforce HR ID on the person profile. This change has not been carried across to our Public API or our Data Import/Export Tool. Those will continue to be referenced as intelliHR ID to ensure continuity of your existing processes.

Once again, whist the design and name change is new, we have not altered any of the navigation and operational procedures users are already familiar with.

Feature Updates

Bank/Tax/Super Onboarding - Australia Only

We have made a small change to allow HR Administrators to send bank/tax/super onboarding to users when their Business Entity configuration is incomplete or disconnected. This ensures your new starters can complete onboarding when there is a connection issue with the ATO Access Manager or you have not completed the Business Entity setup in full. If an employee completes bank/tax/super onboarding, your nominated Business Entity contact email address will receive an error email so you can manually process their payroll details.

New Release! Humanforce Talent (LiveHire) March update

We are pleased to announce we are releasing the first round of rebranding changes for the Humanforce Talent platform, taking on the Humanforce Talent name, and implementing a new design that aligns with with the broader Humanforce suite. Whist the design and name change is new, we have not altered any of the navigation and operational procedures users are already familiar with.

In addition, we’ve released some new enhancements to streamline the process of inviting candidates to checks and assessments through Humanforce Talent. We have also upgraded additional elements of the Humanforce Talent infrastructure and front end. These enhancements will help you better access the tools you need to manage your environment more effectively.

Let’s dive into the details!

Humanforce Talent Rebrand

Employer and Candidate experiences

From March 24th, we are introducing rebranding changes. We will commence removing LiveHire and updating it with the Humanforce Talent name and logo across both the Employer and Candidate experiences. Customers and candidates, can expect to see:

  • The LiveHire logo replaced by the Humanforce Talent logo
  • Fonts and colour palettes will now mirror Humanforce branding
  • References to "LiveHire" will commence being replaced by "Humanforce Talent"

Once again, these changes are currently purely aesthetic in nature. No changes have been made to URLs, APIs or email domains. Access to the platform and its function will continue as normal during this changeover.

We are making this change now in order to:

  • Maintain a superior and consistent experience for customers.
  • Strengthen and unify the HCM suite under one Humanforce brand, thereby allowing customers to better understand the Humanforce HCM suite.
  • Align people, systems, and ways of working into a unified approach.

Automatically invite candidates to Assessments at Status Change

Job Vacancy Details > Checks and Assessments

We’ve released the ability for users to configure an assessment package to be automatically sent to candidates when they are moved into a status within the Recruitment Process.

This functionality will be available to all clients utilising native Assessment integrations, and can be configured from the Checks and Assessments tab within the Job Vacancy Details section of your jobs. New Release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management Version 6.0.47

We’re excited to announce Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management Version 6.0.47, which includes improvements to a number of areas such as the home navigation page, and within specific Workforce Management modules such as Roster Manager, Template Manager, Timesheets Bid Manager, and Leave Approval. Read on for all the details!

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 6th March 2025.
  • All Humanforce Cloud accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated to version 6.0.47 overnight on Wednesday, 19th March 2025.

Workforce Management

Home

Rebranded Home Navigation Menu

We have introduced a new design in our Workforce Management navigation menu as part of rebranding. This design update only introduces a new colour palette, and all navigation items remain unchanged.

Roster Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Bulk Assign shifts

You can now assign shifts to employees in bulk which significantly reduces the time taken to assign multiple shifts. A new “Assign” action has been added under the Actions button, allowing managers to assign multiple shifts in one step.

For detailed guidance on how to Bulk Assign shifts in Roster Manager click here to access the Help Article.

Removed employee contact details in Fill Shift screen when ‘See Phone number’ access level permission is disabled

Employee phone numbers are now hidden within the Fill shift screen when the logged in user does not have the permission "See phone numbers" enabled. This helps limit the ability for contact details to be made visible by ensuring only people with the right permissions settings can view them.

Template Manager

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Employee Break Check Validation

Roster Managers can now check to see if they have rostered a shift to an employee who does have the correct break length, and then make the required adjustments, so that they can quickly validate break details in Template Manager.

Bid Manager

Management > Shift Bid > Bid Manager

Correct hourly rates applied to shift bids

We have fixed a minor error where employees were all showing with the same rate of pay within bid manager. Now employees will appear with their correct hourly rate when managers are publishing bids to their employees for shifts.

Timesheet Admin

Timesheets > Timesheets

Corrected overnight shift durations

In the Timesheet Admin screen, shift durations in specific overnight scenarios will now be correctly calculated in specific overnight scenarios. Previously we may have incorrectly calculated shift duration Start and End Times for overnight shift of 12 hours or more duration.

Timesheet

Timesheets > Timesheets

No Show overlap alert validation

We have made a minor improvement with timesheet alerts by removing an unnecessary overlap alert when timesheets were overlapping with no shows. Previously timesheet alerts were active when it overlaps with no shows.

Pay Periods

Admin > Award Config > Pay Periods

Locked Pay period length and start dates

A minor change within Pay Periods has been made where historical Pay period lengths and start dates cannot be changed. This restriction ensures historical pay runs are not inadvertently moved between pay periods, and supports better pay run reporting.

Role Revisions

Management > Employee > Employee Management

Pay rate override field showing current effective rates

When viewing the Role Revisions for an Employee, we have fixed a display error to ensure the most up-to-date Pay Rate revision is shown. Despite previously shown display data not actually being used by the system when interpreting timesheets or payroll, the Pay Rate display field now shows updated Pay rate data based on any Pay rate revisions.

Leave Approval

Management > Availability > Leave Approvals

Leave request comments not obscured by navigation menu

We have now improved the visibility of leave request comments, where they have been obscured by the main navigation menu. This update will ensure these comments appear clearly and are no longer cut off by the navigation menu.

Department Qualifications

Admin > System Config > Department Qualifications

Assigning qualifications to Locations or Departments is now possible in Humanforce Web, making it easier to maintain the recommended or mandatory qualifications needed across the business. Previously, this function only existed in the Back Office.

Managing these qualifications is essential for having up-to-date Employee Qualification alerts during Rostering. For more information, read this help article.

New Release! Humanforce Cloud - Version 6.0.46

We’re excited to announce Humanforce Cloud Version 6.0.46, which includes improvements to a range of Workforce Management modules such as Roster Manager, Timesheets and Payroll. Read on for all the details!

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 20th February 2025.
  • All Humanforce Cloud accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated to version 6.0.46 overnight on Wednesday, 5th March 2025.

Roster Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Expanding multiple groups at the same time

You can now expand multiple groups simultaneously within all 3 views of the roster manager. This allows you to choose the groups you want visible for better roster planning.

Retaining selected SMS and Push Notification selection

When requesting confirmation or offering shifts to your employees, the system now remembers your previous SMS & Push notification selections making it faster for you to complete these tasks.

Labour Group filter added in Shift View

We’ve added a Labour Group filter in the Shift view of Roster Manager, making it easier to focus on shifts for specific labour groups. The filter only shows relevant labour groups based on the selected roster date range. When applied, only shifts linked to the selected labour groups will be visible.

Shift Status now retained when importing templates

We’ve resolved an issue where shift statuses were not being correctly retained when importing templates in Roster Manager.

Previously, if a shift in a template was marked as “Confirmed,” that status was lost after import. Now, when you import a template, any shifts that were “Confirmed” in the template will remain confirmed in the roster.

Timesheets

Timesheets > Timesheets

New Break End Time field in Timesheets

We have introduced a "Break End Time" field in timesheets, providing another option of recording breaks. You can now enter both the start and end times of your break or the break duration. This feature eliminates the need to manually calculate and record the break duration, as it will be automatically updated once you fill in the "Break End Time". This enhancement makes it easier and more accurate to record your break time.

Timesheet length warning for Bulk Edit

When editing timesheets using the bulk edit Timesheet function (Edit Details button), a warning is now presented if the timesheet length of any one of the timesheets being edited exceeds the Timesheet Length setting configured in the user's Access Levels > General tab. This warning aims to inform users of the variation and will allow users to review and confirm or cancel the changes before proceeding.

Award profile error handling in Timesheets

We've fixed an issue where selecting a date without an award profile caused an error when adding a new timesheet for an employee. Now, a warning is displayed instead, and the correct award profile is now being returned if you continue changing the date or the role associated with the timesheet.

Timesheet reason display improvement

We have fixed an issue where timesheets that were auto-logged off and auto-authorised only showed "OK" as the reason. The system now correctly displays both reasons, providing clearer context that the timesheet encountered an uncommon case of being auto-logged off + auto-authorised.

Bulk Timesheet Authorisation & Generation

Admin > System Config > Timesheet Comments

We have improved bulk timesheet actions in Timesheet Admin related to the "Allow empty comments on timesheet authorisation" permission. Error messages are now clearer when authorising timesheets without comments, and timesheets can now be generated from no-shows even if comments are missing.

Payroll Export

Correct sequence number in Chris21 payroll export

We've fixed an issue where the "Include Sequence" option in the Chris21 payroll export always showed "0." The sequence number now updates correctly, ensuring accurate payroll data for employees working multiple roles with different rates and pay types.

Simplified Adjustment Payrun exports

We've improved the Adjustment Payrun exports in Humanforce to reduce unnecessary data. Now, pay types with a value of 0 (indicating no changes) will be excluded from the export, aligning web behaviour with Back Office.

Reports

Reports > Roster > Rosters by Roles

Area Field in Rosters by Role Report

The Rosters by Role report now includes an option to display the Area field for each shift. If an area is set, it will appear below the shift's Start/End times in the report table.

Biometric Registration

Management > Employee > Biometric Registration

We've made column headers interactive in Biometric Registration, allowing users to sort employee lists by ascending or descending order.

New Release! intelliHR February update.

We are pleased to announce some new enhancements that make the onboarding process more efficient for customers with complex HR ecosystems and improve the overall connectivity of the HR experience.

Let’s explore!

New additions to Public API

Probation End Date endpoint

Customers can now set the Probation End Date in intelliHR when creating People/Jobs via PAPI from external recruitment systems. This ensures that the correct probation period is accurately captured and reflected in the employee’s job profile data.

Onboarding completed event webhook (Australian customers only)

We’ve added a dedicated "Payroll Onboarding Completed" webhook (job.onboarding_payroll_completed) to notify Public API consumers when an employee has completed setting up their bank details, TFN information and Superannuation setup via SuperAPI during onboarding. This allows the payroll system to create or update employee’s payroll records effectively.

These new additions aim to support customers with complex HR ecosystems better and streamline their onboarding processes.

Click here for more details.   Learn more

Bank / Tax / Superannuation submission fail alert (Australian customers only)

Settings > All Settings > Business Entity

We have introduced an alert notification for employers to notify the relevant people when a SuperAPI submission fails. Processing times for superannuation fund registrations can take several days or longer, and submissions can fail for various reasons, such as an incorrect member number or failed stapling attempts. In such cases, the HR must complete the process manually. Previously, employers did not have visibility into superannuation submission failures, which caused delays in the onboarding process.

Now, a new "Onboarding Email Alerts" field in Business Entities allows up to 20 business contacts to receive failure notification emails, ensuring swift resolution. When an employee's Super Stapling has failed or there is an issue with your Business Entity configuration, you can configure an email alert that will alert relevant parties and include instructions on how to resolve the error. This field is found on your Business Entity configuration and has been pre-filled with your active System Administrator's primary email addresses. This is available for Australia Business Entities only.

New Release! Humanforce Talent (LiveHire) February update

We are excited to announce the first Humanforce Talent update of 2025, also known as LiveHire for our customers. In this update, we have enabled self-serve capabilities for all our customers globally. We have also addressed several accessibility issues identified in our recent audit, improved our Open API support for integrated checks providers, and upgraded the LiveHire infrastructure. These enhancements will help you better access the tools you need to manage your environments more effectively. We have also improved the email response handler, ensuring that interactions between candidates and employers remain easy and frictionless.

Let’s dive into the details!

Self-service platform configurations

Admin Console > Templates

We have expanded access to the self-service feature for job vacancies, applications, offers, and answer set configurations to all customers globally. Initially, these features were released with restricted access, allowing us to enable them selectively for a limited group of clients.

With their proven success in production, we have now updated the default security permissions for the Admin role, granting all Admin users access to these features. This enables administrators to self-service and create templates directly within platform configurations.

Click here for more information on using these self-service features in the platform configurations.  Learn more

Checks Open API

As we continue improving the Checks API integration experience for our integrated checks providers, we have updated the administration process for our internal teams responsible for configuring these providers. Within the Admin site, we have added a new section to the Checks configuration screen, allowing our internal teams to add new providers and manage packages for existing providers. This new addition will enable a much faster turnaround for requests to manage check packages where providers may not be able to provide endpoints to retrieve configured packages for their integrations.

Improved Email Response Handler

Historically, candidates have responded directly to several platform emails that do not originate from an employer user. As a result, these responses do not form part of a conversation with the employer. Instead, these emails are received by the Support team, which then has to either respond to and redirect the candidate or forward their communication to the appropriate recipient.

We have now expanded the capabilities of our Email Response Handler. It will automatically extract the relevant parties and message content from a candidate's response to these types of emails and direct the response to the inbox of the appropriate Talent Community.

This improvement allows our Support team to focus on more relevant support issues and continue to update and grow our knowledge base. It also enables clients to respond adequately to candidates who reach out to them after receiving platform notifications.

Candidate Street Address value

We have implemented a new requirement to better support candidates' adoption of street address inputs. Candidates will now need to re-enter their address if the address associated with their profile does not have a Street Address value in order to progress with their application.

This adjustment aims to address two common scenarios:

1. Candidates with existing accounts that currently lack a street address.

2. Candidates whose address has been extracted by the CV Parser, but this address does not include a Street Address.

Accessibility Improvements - Improved candidate application and profile experience

We have improved site accessibility to enhance the experience for candidates with accessibility needs, following the WCAG 2.2 Guidelines.

These enhancements create a more consistent and accessible experience for buttons, checkboxes, labels, auto-suggest content, expanding content, and option controls, ensuring that candidates can effectively utilise assistive technologies throughout their experience.

Infrastructure upgrades

We have recently upgraded several infrastructure components across the LiveHire platform, and more component upgrades are planned before the end of February. These upgrades aim to enhance the user experience with improved platform stability and faster load times for the below areas

New Release! Humanforce Cloud - Version 6.0.45

We’re excited to announce Humanforce Cloud Version 6.0.45, which includes improvements to a range of Workforce Management modules such as Roster Manager, Timesheets and Leave Approval. Read on for all the details!

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 6th February 2025.
  • All Humanforce Cloud accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated to version 6.0.45 overnight on Wednesday, 19th February 2025.

Roster Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

New sort by Status option

The Offer tab within the Fill shift workflow now allows you to sort by the Status column.

Role hierarchy in Shift View

Sort by role hierarchy is now applied in Shift view when you have Group by Location and Department on (just like Role view).  The roles listed within the Location and Department grouping are now sorted based on the role hierarchy defined in your Location and Department configuration.

Scrolling shifts

We've fixed an issue in Shift view that occurred when viewing shifts for a single role. If there were more shifts than were visible on the page, when scrolling down the list there were duplicate shifts displayed.

Timesheets

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

Breaks on overnight shifts at end of month

We've fixed an issue where a break was not being added to a timesheet if an employee was rostered for an overnight shift that crossed from the last day of one month into the first day of another month.

Profile field correction when adding a timesheet

We’ve resolved an issue that occurred when adding a timesheet for another user in the Timesheet Admin area. The Profile field was displaying the effective award profile for the currently logged in user, instead of the target employee (who would own the timesheet).

Timesheet date correction in some inline edit scenarios

In the Timesheet Admin screen, we've addressed an issue related to the inline edit function. Adding an end time to an active timesheet was using today's date, instead of the timesheet's start date. This case was most evident when a day or more had passed after the shift ended when a user added an end-time to the timesheet (as the date of editing and the date of the shift were different).

Leave Approvals

Management > Availability > Leave Approvals

Submitting leave requests for an employee during a gray out period

A manager or supervisor with the permission “Allow request leave during gray out maxed,” can now successfully submit a leave request for one of their team members during a “gray out” period where the number of employees allowed to take leave has already been reached.

For background, a “gray out” period allows a limit to be set on the number of employees that can take leave during the gray out period. Before this change, the supervisor or manager might have been blocked as the system was checking the permission of the employee taking the leave, instead of the user adding the leave request.

Area and Period information when source hours set to Profile Hours

When approving leave requests, Humanforce automatically pulls relevant Default details from the Employee profile. However when the source hours for the leave request was Profile Hours, the system was not linking the Period and Area info to the timesheet, as expected. This has now been corrected.

Adjustment Payrun export file resolved

Resolved a case where some users encountered an error when attempting to generate an export file for an Adjustment Payrun in Humanforce Cloud.

Alesco Payroll - Batch number option

Humanforce provides a 3rd party Payroll Export to support Alesco Payroll. The export process in Humanforce Web now supports the display of a prompt Enter Batch number, which is consistent with the Back Office functionality when exporting the file. You will have the option to enter the batch number, which will be automatically included in the generated payroll file, provided this setting is enabled in the Payroll config.

Role Revisions

Management > Employee > Employee Management

When managing the Role Revisions for an employee and selecting a Pay Rate, the rate value was shown in the Rate Override field, which was creating some confusion - since the override was not actually in use. For easier and more efficient Role Revisions, we’ve introduced a clear display of the Pay Rate's value in a separate column called Rate. This is a read-only column and reflects the existing rate value that is attached at the end of the Pay Rate title.

Additionally, we are no longer copying the Rate value into the Override field, so it is much clearer when an Override value is actually set.
