Back Office to Humanforce WFM (Cloud)
We continue to bring core Back Office functionality into Humanforce WFM (Cloud) to improve efficiency, control, and ease of access. In this release, we’re pleased to introduce:
Manually interpret payrun data at daily level
Management > Timesheets > Payroll
You can now manually update payrun data for individual days directly within the Payrun screen. This is useful when timesheet data is correct, but the interpretation needs to be edited—such as applying units to a different pay type.
Manual edits are made in the Daily breakdown of pay types section of a processed payrun.
How it works:
- Click on a date header in the payrun table or an existing unit value
- A list of available pay types will appear
- Enter or update the required values
- Select OK to save changes and return to the payrun
⚠️ Manual overrides will be cleared if the payrun is reprocessed
Permission required: Allow manual editing of payroll paytype data
Roster Manager
Management > Rostering > Roster Manager
Apply shift type hierarchy when using leave reassignments
When you create a timesheet using a leave shift type and the employee has insufficient leave, the system now automatically applies the next available shift type based on the defined hierarchy. This ensures shift assignments are completed without manual correction.
Tip: Configure shift type hierarchies in Admin > Award config > Shift types.
New permission: Assign and unassign shifts only
A new permission—Assign and unassign only—lets users manage shift allocations without access to full roster editing.
Make sure the Allow editing permission is disabled to restrict access correctly.
Display labour group comments in Role view
When Group by labour group is enabled in Role view, comments linked to the labour group are now visible. This makes context-specific information more accessible within the roster.
Template Manager
Management > Rostering > Template Manager
Import templates on any day
You can now import templates on any day within the roster date range, not just the original start date. This allows for more flexible planning and easier template reuse.
Payroll
Management > Timesheets > Payroll
Xero NZ timesheet upload fix
We’ve resolved an issue where timesheets were not being created in Xero NZ after a successful payroll export.
Important notes:
- Reimbursement pay types are not included in the export
- Manual payslip creation in Xero NZ is required if the employee is not set up for auto-payslip creation
Reports
Reports > Roster > Roster by roles
Order shifts by start time
The Roster by roles report now includes an option to order shifts chronologically by start time. This improves readability, especially when reviewing or printing reports with multiple shifts per role.
Workforce Analytics
Management > Advanced > Workforce analytics
New data field: Employee default period
The employee’s Default Period field is now available in the following data sources:
- Leave request
- Leave balance
- Roster template
This supports more granular filtering and grouping of workforce data.
Tip: Default periods help define shifts into ranges (e.g. morning, evening), and can be used to support better sorting and filtering in rosters and reports.
REST API
Integrations > REST API
Improved timezone handling for mixed clock sources
We’ve made improvements to how timezones are handled when a timesheet is clocked in using Humanforce Web or the Mobile App, and then clocked out via the REST API.
This ensures start and end times are correctly aligned across systems, reducing inconsistencies when capturing time through different entry methods.
Integration Central
Management > Advanced > Integration Central
Humanforce HR qualification sync
Qualification updates in Humanforce HR now sync reliably to WFM when the Qualification Instance Updated webhook is triggered or when running a bulk employee import.
Download task history to CSV
You can now export task history logs as CSV files, making it easier to review, audit, and troubleshoot integration activity.
Historical logs in Data Import
Historical logs in the Humanforce HR Data Import section are now retained. You can now view entries older than the current day—restoring access to important historical integration records.
Early access features
The following features are available in version 6.0.50 as early access and are not enabled by default.
To activate either feature on your site, log a support ticket via Humanforce Help.
Sync role revision effective dates from Humanforce HR
Customers using the Humanforce HR to WFM integration can now sync role revisions into WFM with the correct effective date, ensuring downstream payroll accuracy.

HR-WFM employee forwarding with pay rate
The employee forwarding feature now includes the employee’s current active role and pay rate when syncing data from Humanforce HR to WFM and then to Payroll. This ensures accurate and complete payroll setup across systems.
