New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.72

Announcing release 6.0.72 - focusing on rostering compliance, timesheet reliability, leave management, and configuration safety. You’ll see clearer alerts and controls in Roster Manager, smoother and more consistent authorisation in Timesheets, and safer data handling in Cost Centres. Together these improvements help managers act with confidence, reduce errors, and save time on everyday tasks.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 12 March, 2026
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, 25 March, 2026

Roster Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Introducing the “Today” Button in Roster Manager for Faster Navigation

In Roster Manager, you can now quickly return to the current date using the new Today button in the navigation toolbar. The button respects your current roster duration (such as one or two weeks) and starting day (for example, Monday), ensuring that today always appears within the first week of the view. This makes it easier to instantly orient yourself to the current schedule and continue planning shifts without manually navigating through the calendar.

Make Visa Expiry Alerts Restrictive for Stronger Compliance

You can now configure the Visa Expiry alert in Roster Manager and Template Manager to be restrictive. When enabled, any shifts assigned after an employee’s visa expiry date will be flagged as errors instead of warnings, providing a clear stop signal and helping prevent non-compliant rostering.

Pre-expiry reminders remain non-blocking, allowing you to plan ahead and address upcoming expiries without interrupting normal roster planning. This helps managers maintain strong visa compliance while still working efficiently when editing shifts individually or in bulk

Minimum Shift Gap Alerts Now Align with Award Profile Settings

Minimum Shift Gap alerts in Roster Manager and Template Manager now align with the “Apply shift gap rule only for shifts starting on separate days” setting in the award profile.

When this setting is enabled, same-day shifts will no longer trigger Minimum Shift Gap warnings, while gaps between shifts on different days will continue to behave as expected, including support for employee overrides and split-shift configurations.

This update keeps alerts consistent with your award configuration and helps reduce unnecessary warnings, allowing rostering teams to focus on genuine compliance issues while planning legitimate same-day shift patterns.

Timesheets and Clocking

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

Consistent Authorisation Behaviour in Timesheet Editor

Saving a timesheet from the Edit Timesheet modal with the Authorised option selected will now ensure the timesheet remains authorised, as expected.

This update aligns the behaviour with the Authorise quick action, giving timesheet administrators a consistent and reliable experience when reviewing and updating timesheets. Admins can now confidently use either method while maintaining the correct authorisation status.

Employee Communications

Employee > Messages > Chat

Add All users when starting a new chat

When creating a new chat, you can now easily Add All or Remove all employees that match your chosen filters. This makes it easier to start team‑wide or location‑wide conversations, reducing the manual effort of selecting large groups one by one.

Cost Centre Mapping

Admin > Award Config > Cost Centre Mapping

Improved Editing Experience for Cost Centre Mapping

Updating a Cost Centre Mapping’s Name or Export Code no longer requires reassigning the mapping before saving. You can now save these changes directly using the Save action, making routine configuration updates quicker and easier.

The screen also includes safeguards to help prevent accidental changes to cost centre mapping scope, reducing the risk of unintentionally losing existing mapping assignments during updates.

Leave and Absences

Leave Approvals grid now handles attachments more reliably

Management > Availability > Leave Approvals

The Leave Approvals grid now loads more reliably when older leave attachments with potentially incomplete metadata are being returned. These records are handled more gracefully, ensuring the grid will continue loading without you needing to refresh the page, resulting in a more stable leave approval experience.

Consistent handling of excluded shift types in Leave Black-Outs

Admin > System Config > Leave Black-outs

The Leave Black-Outs edit modal now consistently retains excluded shift types when switching between Grey Out and Black Out block types.

This improvement prevents exclusions from being accidentally cleared, making it easier to adjust how leave appears on the roster while keeping your existing configuration intact.

Reporting and Analytics

Management > Advanced > Workforce Analytics

Cost Codes now Included in the Timesheet Data (built-in) report

The Timesheet Data (built‑in) report now includes values in the Cost Code column when using the same filters as the Payroll Data with Cost Codes (built‑in) report. This brings the two reports into alignment and provides clearer visibility of cost allocations, supporting accurate reconciliation and analysis.

Introducing Shift bids in Roster Manager!

We’re excited to introduce Shift Bids in Roster Manager, a powerful enhancement that brings bid visibility and management directly into the rostering workflow. With this update, managers can now view and action employee bids for shifts without leaving Roster Manager, enabling faster decisions, better visibility, and a more streamlined rostering experience.

Fill shifts more efficiently and with greater compliance, while empowering employees to express interest in the shifts they want to work.

Let’s dive in…

🔥 What’s New?

Shift bidding is now embedded directly in Roster Manager, allowing managers to review and allocate bids within the same interface used to manage rosters.

New capabilities include:

  • Bid indicators on shift tiles so managers can instantly see which shifts have active bids.
  • Active Bids / No Bids filters to quickly identify shifts that require attention.
  • A Bid status label within the Fill Shift workflow to clearly identify bidding activity.
  • Bid/Offer Time tracking to show when bids or offers were submitted, helping support fair decision-making.
  • Priority ordering of employees, placing bidders first followed by offers and other eligible employees.

Managers can action a bid via the Assign tab, and then choose to ask the bidder for confirmation, or Assign it immediately where appropriate — all within the same workflow used to fill shifts today.

⭐️ Why it matters

Shift bidding creates a more dynamic and transparent way to fill open shifts.

For managers and businesses:

  • Faster shift coverage by prioritising employees who have already expressed interest.
  • Better decision-making with visibility of all eligible employees, bids, and offers in one place.
  • Improved compliance through automated validation checks such as availability, qualifications, and maximum hours when assigning shifts.

For employees:

  • Greater control and flexibility over the shifts they work.
  • Improved fairness and transparency in how shifts are allocated.
  • Higher engagement, as employees can proactively bid for shifts that suit their availability.

Together, these benefits reduce manual effort, improve rostering efficiency, and help ensure shifts are filled with the right people at the right time.

⭐️ Getting Started

Getting started is easy. To learn how to start using Shift bids in Roster Manager follow the step by step guidance in this Help Article.

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.71

We’re happy to announce the release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.71, delivering important improvements across bid management, roster visibility, reporting, and everyday workflow efficiency. From enhanced Fill Shift functionality to richer WFA reporting data, these updates are designed to help your teams work faster, with clearer context and fewer clicks.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 26 February 2026
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, 11 March 2026

Enhanced Bid Management in Roster Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Bid management is now fully embedded inside Roster Manager bringing greater visibility, stronger compliance, and a more streamlined workflow to your shift filling process.

Shift Bidding allows employees to express interest in vacant shifts. With this enhancement, employee bids are now visible directly within Roster Manager, enabling managers to review and action them within the same unified rostering workflow, rather than navigating to Bid Manager separately.

Managing shift bids in Roster Manager provides greater context and visibility. Managers can view all eligible employees including those with existing shift offers and active bids on a single screen, supporting more informed and transparent prioritisation decisions when allocating shifts. It also ensures stronger compliance, as the Fill Shift process applies key validation checks such as availability, qualifications, maximum hours, and additional shift warnings when assigning the shift within Roster Manager.

New capabilities include:

  • Active Bids and No Active Bids filters to quickly identify shifts requiring attention
  • A visual bid indicator on shift tiles for at-a-glance awareness
  • A dedicated “Bid” status label within the Fill Shift workflow
  • A new Bid/Offer Time column to track when bids or offers were submitted
  • Automatic employee ordering by priority — placing bids first, followed by offers and other employees

These enhancements eliminate manual effort, reduce unnecessary clicks, and allow managers to act confidently within their existing rostering workflow.

To learn about the functionality, review our help article Managing shift bids in Roster Manager

Improved Labour Group Visibility in Role View

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

We’ve introduced two enhancements to make labour group management clearer and more flexible across Roster Manager and Template Manager.

New “Sort By” options

You can now sort labour groups by:

  • Start time
  • Alphabetically

This makes it easier to review rosters and templates in the order that suits your workflow.

Function name displayed in headers

The Function name now appears in the labour group header (alongside Event details), giving you clearer context at a glance and helping reduce confusion when managing complex event rosters.

Fill Shift Remembers Your Filters

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

The Fill Shift window now remembers if you had disabled certain filters - to widen your search - so you don’t have to reconfigure them every time you fill a shift. This reduces repetitive clicks and makes it faster to see the right employees for the shift you’re filling, especially when you’re working through a lot of shifts in a row.

For example, if you've disabled the "Default Department" filter, then next time you open the Fill Shift window, it will remain unchecked - even if you're dealing with a shift in a different location than before.

That means:

  • Less deselecting filters each time
  • Faster processing when working through multiple shifts

A small change that makes a big difference when managing high volumes.

Faster Employee Search in Timesheet Admin

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

When the Roster Name column is enabled in your view, you can now search by Roster name - as well as Employee name or code.

This ensures you can find employees using the naming convention you rely on day-to-day — making timesheet management quicker and more intuitive.

Expanded WFA Variance Reporting

Management > Advanced > Workforce Analytics

We’ve enhanced WFA Variance Reports with additional data fields for greater visibility and reporting accuracy.

New fields now available in report output and underlying data:

  • Labour Group
  • Event
  • Event Export Code

These additions improve insight across Variance Analysis by Hours and PayType Reports, giving you richer data to support more accurate workforce analysis.

New feature - Rotating Roster Templates!

We’re excited to announce a powerful new addition to your rostering — Rotating Roster Templates – bringing greater fairness, flexibility, and efficiency to workforce scheduling, whilst making it easier than ever to balance coverage needs with employee satisfaction.

With Rotating Roster Templates, you can now build shift rosters that fairly rotate employees through morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts — ensuring equitable distribution of work patterns, while streamlining how you manage complex rosters.

Let’s dive in...

🔥 What’s New?

Experience enhanced workforce scheduling through the following new rostering capabilities.

  • Create Rotating Rosters Directly in Template Manager: Build rosters where employees automatically rotate through sequences of shifts — such as weekly early, late, and night shifts — ensuring fair workload distribution. This can be performed flexibly either as a weekly, daily or pattern-based rotation, with customised lengths of rotating cycles, and commencement dates pre-set; i.e. 4 days on, and 4 days off, commencing next month”.
  • Flexible Sequences & Fixed Shifts: Define rotating shift sequences for roles while also locking in fixed shifts (i.e., staff who always work the same schedule) all within the same template.
  • Automated Roster Generation: Generate weeks of rosters at once with staff automatically rotated into the correct shifts, saving time and reducing scheduling errors.

Customers using Rolling/Rotating Templates in the Humanforce Back Office platform (also known as TimeTarget) will be able to switch over to the Rotating Template in Cloud WFM immediately ahead of the Back Office sunset date. See our help article to help you transition.

⭐️
Why it matters

Rotating shift patterns are helpful in extended opening hours. They are favoured by rostering managers when a business operates outside the conventional nine-to-five schedules, in particular industries such as Aged-care, Healthcare, Local Government, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Construction, and Security, to name a few.

The key benefits unlocked by roster managers, their workforce, and their organisation include:

  • Fairness & Equity: Distributes night shifts, weekends, and other less‑desirable times evenly across your team — no more “burdened employees” always stuck on the late shift.
  • Operational Exposure: Shift rotations encourage employees to take on new challenges, learn new skills, and interact with different people, which also fosters greater employee engagement in the workplace.
  • Employee Satisfaction: Improves work-life balance by ensuring everyone has a chance to work across different shift types, leading to higher morale and lower turnover.
  • Streamline rostering: Instead of juggling multiple templates or manually swapping shifts, you can now set up the rotation once and let the rostering system fulfil the pre-set rotation of shifts.

🏁 Getting Started

Getting started is easy. To learn how to get set up and begin publishing your first rotating roster template, follow the instructions in following Help Articles.

  • Rotating Roster Templates overview
  • Enabling or transitioning to Rotating Roster Templates from Back Office (our soon to be deactivated legacy WFM system known as TimeTarget).

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.69

We’re pleased to announce the upcoming release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.69, bringing new rostering enhancements to help managers build accurate rosters faster, including improvements to Bulk Add Shift and Role View, plus added flexibility in the Humanforce Payroll integration. Read on for all the details!

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 29 January 2026.
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, 11 February, 2026.

Roster Manager

Rostering > Roster Manager

Bulk Add Shift: Select Shift Definitions (including paid breaks support)

Roster managers can now choose a Shift Definition when using Bulk Add Shift, automatically applying the correct start/end times and break rules to each role. We’ve also improved break handling by adding clearer paid vs unpaid break fields, and ensured duplicated rows retain these settings, making large roster builds faster, more consistent and less error-prone.

Bulk Add Shift: Add comments in Roster Manager and Template Manager

You can now add comments while bulk-adding shifts in both Roster Manager and Template Manager. This makes it easier to capture important shift context (e.g. notes for employees or managers) across multiple shifts at once. Comments can be duplicated across rows where needed and are reliably saved on all created shifts including shifts created within Labour Groups.

Role colours now shown on shift cards in Role View

When viewing rosters in Role View, shift cards now display the role colour indicator on the left edge of each card. This creates a more consistent experience when switching from People View and helps teams using role colours identify roles at a glance.

Introducing the colours along the edge, rather than the entire shift background, ensures we remain compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and avoid contrast problems with the shift details text.

Admin Settings

Leave Black-Outs

Exclude shift types from block-out block types

Admins can now configure Leave Black-Outs to exclude one or more shift types when setting up black-out block types in Humanforce Web. This gives organisations more control over how leave restrictions are applied, supporting more flexible rules and reducing the need for manual exceptions.

Payroll

Management > Timesheets > Payroll

Faster access to employee pay type breakdown

We’ve streamlined navigation in the Payrun screen so that when employee details are expanded, the daily breakdown automatically expands too. This provides quicker access to pay type details and reduces extra clicks when reviewing employee pay information.

Integration Central

WFM > HF Payroll

Configurable mapping for Email 1 and Email 2 fields

We’ve added flexibility to the WFM → Humanforce Payroll integration, allowing customers to switch which WFM fields map to Email 1 and Email 2 in Humanforce Payroll. This makes it easier to align with your organisation’s preferred contact data setup and improves accuracy for employee email syncing.

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.68

We’re pleased to announce the upcoming release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.68, which delivers improvements to key functions across rostering, shift bidding, leave, payroll and reporting. This release also continues our investment in performance improvements for enhanced productivity. Read on for all the details!

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Wednesday, 14th January 2026
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, 28th January 2026

Roster Manager

Rostering > Roster Manager

New shift validations when you save a Shift to help you capture all the details you need

We've added clearer validations for Area, Event, Function, and Shift Definition to ensure required details are selected before saving a shift. This helps prevent incomplete entries and makes shift creation more reliable and straightforward.

Improvements to Fill Shift so that offering shifts to multiple employees is faster and easier

We improved the Fill Shift experience so selected employees remain chosen when adjusting search text or filters in the Offer tab. This allows users to refine their search and build an offer list without losing prior selections. The update makes offering shifts to multiple employees more efficient and supports more flexible selection workflows.

Easier creation and management of multiple shifts in labour groups

We improved how locations are applied when adding multiple shifts to a labour group that is grouped by location. In this scenario, the system now consistently carries forward the relevant location, reducing the need for manual re-selection and helping ensure shifts are grouped as expected. This makes creating and managing labour groups shifts faster and more reliable.

Refinement of rounding logic to prevent unintended Minimum Roster Hours alerts

We resolved a scenario in Roster Manager where the Minimum Roster Hours alert could trigger incorrectly due to rounding limitations, even when an employee had met their required hours. The alert logic now rounds hours to the expected precision, ensuring employees only receive alerts when they are genuinely below their minimum requirement.

Bid Manager

Management > Shift > Bid Manager

Clearer visibility of shift bids, particularly for overnight and overlapping shifts

We’ve made changes to address scenarios where employee bids for conflicting or adjacent shifts were not displayed consistently in Bid Manager. Bid counts now accurately reflect available bids, and the Bids available for offer label only appears when valid, actionable bids exist. This ensures managers see a clear and reliable view of shift bids, especially around overnight and overlapping shifts.

Timesheets

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

Split timesheets into more than two parts

We’ve improved timesheet splitting so that users with the Split Timesheet permission can now split a timesheet into more than two parts (even when the Area, Event, Function, Period, and Shift Type view permissions are disabled).

More accurate checks across grouped shift types for Insufficient Leave Balance alert

We’ve improved the Insufficient Leave Balance validation so that alerts now correctly use the shared group balance when employees use different shift types within the same Shift Type Group. This enhancement prevents false Insufficient Leave Balance alerts on timesheets, ensuring more accurate and consistent leave balance checks across grouped shift types.

Leave block outs and approvals

Admin > System configuration > Leave block-outs

Gray-out periods get per day validation

We’ve improved gray‑out period leave validation so that the limit on the number of employees on leave is checked against each day, rather than across the full date range of the gray-out period.  We’ve also updated the settings label to clarify it applies per day, preventing valid multi‑day leave requests from being incorrectly rejected.

Improved Leave approval handling

In a related change, we’ve also improved Leave Approval handling so that the Max Employees on Leave limit now correctly counts unique employees rather than individual leave entries, preventing scenarios where valid leave approval requests are incorrectly blocked.

Workforce Analytics Payroll Reports

Management > Advanced > Workforce Analytics

New filter option to refine payroll reports

We’ve added a new Pay Run dropdown filter to the Payroll Data and Payroll Data with Cost Codes reports, allowing payroll administrators to report on a specific processed pay run iteration.

Improvement for non-attended shifts in Pay Comparison Report

We’ve improved the Pay Comparison Report so that daily totals in “Preview payroll data” now correctly display the Date for payments generated by On-Call overrides on non‑attended shifts, aligning them with attended shift payments.

Payroll

Management > Timesheets > Payroll

Faster loading of individual pay runs in Payrun History

We’ve continued with performance improvements for the Payrun History screen. In this release, we’ve improved the performance of viewing individual pay runs so that detailed pay run data loads faster.

REST API

Better time-zone handling for clock-in validation

We have improved the REST API clock‑in validation to correctly handle customers in different time zones, including New Zealand.

2025 Human Capital Management (HCM) Suite Wrap Up

In 2025, Humanforce delivered its most ambitious year of Human Capital Management (HCM) innovation yet, unifying Talent, HR, Workforce Management (WFM), Benefits, and Payroll through deeper integrations, greater automation, and the unlocking of data intelligence.

Humanforce’s 2025 releases didn’t just upgrade features, incremental developments purposefully elevated the entire Humanforce HCM suite. With automation, data accuracy, and deep integrations now woven throughout the suite, organisations gain unprecedented visibility, teams work with fewer barriers, and employees enjoy fairer and more connected experiences.

Below is a wrap-up of our key suite-wide developments over this milestone year for our customers, building a truly experience-led, AI-powered HCM suite to empower the frontline workforce, globally.

Humanforce Analytics – Talent

Humanforce introduced a new generation of analytics capabilities, giving talent teams instant clarity into hiring performance and the ability to accelerate time to hire. Recruiters and leaders now get AI-powered answers, deeper funnel insights, and custom dashboards that reveal where hiring flows or stalls. The result is faster decision-making, higher-quality candidates, and a robust analytics foundation that will unify insights across the entire HCM suite as Humanforce Analytics continues to expand into HR, WFM, and beyond in the new year.

Humanforce DataFlow

Since its launch, DataFlow, our powerful streaming integration service, has helped numerous enterprises combine valuable workforce data related to Talent, HR, WFM, and Benefits with their existing data warehouses. By eliminating the need for manual exports and addressing misaligned reporting data, businesses gain real-time operational visibility and enhanced accuracy, while establishing an AI-ready data infrastructure for faster, smarter decision-making.

DataFlow serves as a crucial intelligence multiplier, unlocking essential employee-related data that allows organisations to optimize business reporting and make confident, data-informed decisions quickly and proactively.

Connected Employee Data (HR ↔ WFM ↔ Payroll)

This year cemented Humanforce’s connected-suite vision. Role revisions, pay rates, and employee details flow automatically between HR, WFM, and Payroll. Manual admin disappears, onboarding accelerates, and payroll errors shrink dramatically. With employee data updating consistently across all systems, businesses not only operate with fewer risks, less friction, and complete confidence in the accuracy of every hire-to-pay touchpoint but also generate an ecosystem of employee data that powers intelligent decision-making.

Looking ahead to 2026

With a wave of new AI-powered tools, deeper cross-suite connectivity, and employee-experience-led innovation in store for the year ahead, we are excited about how we will continue to empower workforces into the future.
