2025 Talent Wrap Up

2025 has been a pivotal year for Humanforce Talent. As organisations continue to compete for talent in a highly dynamic market, our focus has been on giving recruiters and hiring managers more clarity, automation and intelligence to move faster and hire better. This year we delivered major upgrades across analytics, candidate experience, AI-powered screening, and workflow automation, while also refining the performance, branding consistency and reliability of the platform. The result is a more insightful and connected Talent experience across the Humanforce suite.

Here’s a look at what we delivered:

Turning recruitment data into insights and answers with Talent Analytics

The biggest milestone this year was the launch of Humanforce Talent Analytics, the first chapter in our Humanforce Analytics journey toward unified insights across the entire Humanforce suite. Recruitment teams now have access to cleaner, faster dashboards that surface key performance metrics with a clearer, more modern experience. Alongside this, we introduced Talent Analytics Pro, a premium tier designed to help teams go deeper with their data through:

  • Build-your-own dashboards
  • Advanced filtering and drill-downs
  • Automated alerts and anomaly detection
  • Scheduled reporting, and
  • AI-powered insights using natural-language Q&A

These capabilities move Talent beyond reporting and into real-time, intelligence-driven recruitment, giving teams faster clarity on what’s working, what needs attention, and where to prioritise effort. It’s a foundational step toward Humanforce’s vision for unified, cross-suite analytics, connecting insights from Talent, HR, WFM and Benefits into a single view of your workforce.

Smarter data collection with Candidate Forms

This year, we introduced Candidate Forms, giving teams a flexible, low-friction way to collect structured data post-application without disrupting the candidate’s initial experience.

Recruiters can now create configurable form templates, trigger them automatically or in bulk, track completions, collect secure attachments and support up to five forms per vacancy. Whether it’s certifications, DEI information, onboarding details or medical declarations, Candidate Forms keeps everything organised, auditable and centralised.

Expanding reach with Apply with SEEK across APAC

We expanded Apply with SEEK functionality beyond Australia to support candidates applying via JobsDB and JobStreet, enabling seamless pre-filled applications across key APAC markets.

Candidate profiles now populate essential information automatically, from contact details to resumes, work history and education, helping to improve conversion rates, reduce application friction and ensure a smoother experience across desktop and mobile.

Accelerating Hiring with AI: Outhire Integration

This year we introduced a new AI-powered partner integration with Outhire, available to Humanforce Talent customers via our Open API. The integration allows teams to enhance early-stage screening by connecting Humanforce Talent with Outhire's capabilities, including:

  • Automated job-fit analysis
  • AI-driven phone and video interviews
  • Consistent, structured candidate reports

This integration help teams reduce manual screening time, improve consistency, and make more confident decisions earlier in the process, especially valuable for high-volume roles.

A more polished, stable and connected Talent platform

Alongside the headline features, we delivered dozens of behind-the-scenes improvements across branding, infrastructure, accessibility and performance ,all focused on improving reliability and consistency.

These smaller but meaningful platform enhancements included:

  • Rebranding to Humanforce Talent across employer and candidate experiences
  • Faster performance across key areas like Comms, Careers pages and Offer Management
  • Improved accessibility aligned to WCAG 2.2
  • Enhanced validation for phone numbers, addresses and custom fields
  • More resilient API and infrastructure updates across checks, events, logging and submissions
  • Smoother email interactions and response handling
  • Career Site infrastructure upgrades and simplified branding consistency

These upgrades ensure Talent performs better behind the scenes, letting teams focus on hiring rather than system admin.

Looking ahead to 2026

Next year, we’re continuing to elevate the Talent experience with deeper platform connectivity and stronger AI support across the hiring journey.

Here’s what’s coming:

Native Talent + HR integration — automatic creation of employee and job records in Humanforce HR when an offer is accepted, removing manual admin and creating a smooth transition from hire to onboard.

AI tools for candidates — resume enhancement, improved job matching and richer Talent Pool insights to help candidates present stronger applications and improve fit.

AI-driven Talent Community engagement — dynamic workflows that keep candidate profiles fresh, maintain availability signals and automatically engage talent pools over time.

Hiring Manager AI Co-Pilot — daily, prioritised summaries that surface key actions and bottlenecks, helping leaders stay on track during busy hiring periods.

These enhancements will help Talent teams move faster, make better decisions and deliver a more streamlined recruitment experience across the Humanforce suite.

2025 Work App Wrap Up

2025 was a year showcasing cutting-edge innovations in the Work app that strengthened communication, improved scheduling clarity, enhanced compliance, and delivered smoother, everyday workforce management for both employees and managers.

Across scheduling, time capture, team visibility, communication, and compliance, the Work App reached new levels of usability and impact, helping organisations work smarter and teams stay connected, productive, and informed.

It was also a milestone year for an ever increasing number of our Work app users, many who have recently transitioned over from the pre-existing Humanforce (legacy) app (sometimes referred to as the ‘Classic’ app), and begun enjoying a faster, more modern and powerful mobile workforce management experience; we are delighted to see our Android and iOS Work app ratings rocketing up to 4.7/5 this year!

If you are still using the Humanforce (legacy) app – transition to Work app today!

Upgrade to Work app today

Now, let’s dive into the Work app development highlights.

Scheduling

2025 saw major enhancements to day-to-day schedule usability, making shift information clearer and easier to act on. Users benefited from expanded shift detail screens, improved UI readability, and net shift hours visible at a glance. These refinements give employees deeper shift insight while helping managers reduce miscommunication and speed up scheduling workflows.

Calendar Sync

Managing work schedules just got easier with Calendar Sync. Now, with automatic synchronising of rostered shifts with their personal calendar, employees can manage their work and personal commitments in the one calendar. The result? Employees can coordinate seamlessly between their work and personal life, and managers gain faster shift coverage, completion and greater employee engagement.

Shift Consent

Another major milestone of 2025, Shift Consent introduced a compliance-first process for capturing employee agreement to shift changes or newly added shifts.

With configurable templates, rich-text messaging, and automatic matching based on shift type and award profile, Shift Consent helps:

•    Organisations stay compliant with industry and labour award obligations.

•    Managers boost flexibility and transparency by registering shift approvals, cutting admin load, and clarifying shift and pay details.

•    Employees gain transparency around changes to their shifts and pay conditions.

Shift Consent supports pay accuracy, auditability, labour cost control, and flexible workforce planning.

Shift Bidding

Shift bidding became simpler and more intuitive with a streamlined withdrawal process, including confirmation prompts and updated language that guide employees cleanly back to their schedule. These improvements reduce errors, cut down manager follow-up, and support smoother shift coverage cycles.

Team View

One of 2025’s standout features, Team View introduced a new level of real-time team transparency. When enabled, Employees can now instantly see who they’re working with, including colleagues’ roles, locations, departments, and shift times.

This benefits:

•    Employees, who gain clarity, confidence and can coordinate swaps or handovers more easily.

•    Managers, who can understand staffing coverage at a glance, even without full Attendance access.

•    Organisations, which reduce confusion, printed rosters, and compliance risks.

Team View strengthens team cohesion, accelerates shift coverage, and boosts workforce productivity.

Availability

Permission-based logic now ensures the Availability screen only appears for users who can manage availability. This reduces confusion and declutters the interface, especially useful for large, mixed-permission teams.

Clocking

Clocking became faster, more precise, and more reliable throughout 2025. Enhancements included:

•    Improved geofence accuracy and speed for smoother, more dependable clock-ins.

•    Offline status clarity, replacing error messages with accurate status indicators.

•    Bug fixes to eliminate countdown errors, resolve shift transfer issues, and improve data consistency.

These improvements strengthen compliance, boost employee trust, and reduce manager intervention.

Earnings

A series of upgrades expanded earnings transparency for employees. Highlights included:

•    Clearer “Payable Hours” display, excluding unpaid breaks.

•    Timesheet cards showing net hours for quick insight.

•    Access to full timesheet history directly from the Earnings screen, giving employees greater visibility into worked hours and pay outcomes.

The result: more confident, informed employees and fewer pay-related queries.

Messaging & Communications

A defining release of the year, Messaging transformed how teams communicate. The new communication experience delivered:

•    Direct & group chat, replacing fragmented communication channels.

•    Rich multimedia sharing, including GIFs, images, videos, documents, and URL previews.

•    Embedded messaging, enabling shift context to flow directly into conversations.

•    Advanced filters & permissions, supporting safe, targeted, high-quality communication.

Messaging now acts as the connective tissue of workforce operations, reducing confusion, strengthening engagement, and enabling faster action where work happens: within the schedule itself.

Manager – Timesheets

2025 delivered significant timesheet enhancements. The introduction of Multi-Level Timesheet Approval added an extra layer of control and compliance confidence, supporting organisations with more complex payroll workflows. Managers can now pre-authorise timesheets before final approval, improving accuracy and minimising payroll risk.

Additional fixes ensured proper enforcement of permissions, more reliable editing behaviour, and control over ending active timesheets—all strengthening the end-to-end timesheet cycle.

Looking ahead to 2026

Across 2025, with major releases such as Messaging, Calendar Sync, Team View, and Shift Consent, Humanforce Work App advanced communications, strengthened compliance, simplified scheduling, enhanced earnings clarity, and helped improved team coordination.

With a wave of new employee-centric development slated for the new year, designed to help employers and employees make work easier and life better, anytime, anywhere, we are excited about continuing to empower frontline workforces into the future.

2025 HR Wrap Up

2025 has been a transformative year for Humanforce HR. As organisations continue to navigate ever-changing compliance requirements and rising expectations around employee experience, our product mission has remained focused on making every part of HR work better, faster and more consistently for the frontline businesses we serve.

This year we focused on strengthening the foundational workflows that power HR operations, including onboarding, contract management, job changes, qualifications and record-keeping, while also laying the groundwork for deeper, cross-suite connectivity across the Humanforce ecosystem.

Here’s a deeper look at what we accomplished in 2025:

The new Compensation Planner

One of the biggest milestones of 2025 was the launch of the new Compensation Planner tool, a dedicated workspace for managing salary reviews and pay cycles with structure, accountability and visibility.

For many HR, Finance and people leaders, compensation reviews have long relied on spreadsheets that are fragile, inconsistent and hard to scale. This year, we changed that, bringing together budgets, eligibility rules, business data and approval workflows into one central, intuitive view. It supports collaboration across departments and gives leaders the confidence that decisions are fair, compliant and aligned to organisational goals.

Cross-suite employee data sync

Another defining moment for the year was our launch of Employee Data Sync across HR, Workforce Management and Payroll, a major milestone driven by Humanforce HR’s role as the single source of truth. For frontline industries where accuracy, compliance and timeliness matter, this sync helps eliminate the costly gaps that occur when HR, rostering and payroll work from disconnected systems.

With near real-time updates to job, pay rate, bank, tax and superannuation details, information flows effortlessly from onboarding to rostering to payroll. That means fewer manual updates & errors, and no surprises on payday. It’s a foundational step toward a more unified Humanforce experience, and one that will continue to grow in capability into 2026 and beyond.

Contracts, job changes and compliance made clearer than ever

This year we also focused on clarity and compliance across contracts and job changes. From contract reject reasons, to expanded contract template variables, new formatting tools and clearer date displays, every enhancement was designed to help streamline processes, reduce ambiguity and improve communication.

On the job management side, we rolled out a major improvement to Job Approvals, including a fully refreshed Pending Job Updates page, more informative change summaries and Job Update Reasons now enabled by default across the platform.

These updates strengthen your compliance posture while empowering your team to move with more confidence and consistency.

Paperless, compliance-focused and fully automated onboarding

Onboarding improvements were a major investment area this year, and the experience is now faster, easier and more welcoming for every new hire. We introduced onboarding completion notifications, employee bank/tax/super update alerts, expanded webhooks, and deeper API support for probation and onboarding events, helping your systems stay aligned and your teams stay informed.

Australian customers saw meaningful improvements to superannuation visibility, with clearer processing indicators and the ability to send bank/tax/super requests even if a Business Entity configuration is incomplete.

Together, these enhancements help new hires hit the ground running, while giving payroll, HR and managers the visibility they need to support them properly from day one.

Strenghtening the connecting between Humanforce HR and Benefits

This year, we expanded the link between Humanforce HR and our Thrive mobile experience with HR Tasks now surfaced directly in Thrive. Employees can complete important HR tasks from the same app they use for wellbeing, supported by mobile notifications that reduce delays and improve task completion. This enhancements brings HR processes closer to employees, wherever they work.

More flexibility with fewer limitations

A big theme of 2025 was removing friction and expanding customization, ensuring Humanforce HR can flex to fit your business.

 This included:

  • Custom variables in contract templates
  • Job Custom Field Categories for cleaner data organisation
  • Single-select custom fields without the two-option requirement
  • Expanded address fields to support international formats
  • New variables for Event Notifications, including location and address data

These updates give admin teams more control over configuration, data quality and system behaviour, helping Humanforce HR fit more comfortably into diverse HR ecosystems.

A more polished and intuitive everyday experience

We also spent this year investing heavily into platform usability improvements that are felt immediately in day to day work, including:

  • A redesigned Qualifications experience with fewer clicks
  • A refreshed Issued Tasks layout
  • A clearer Issue Onboarding flow
  • Better PDF printing for contracts
  • More reliable searching in Contracts and Permissions
  • Corrected job timelines, probation data and multi-select displays
  • Significant improvements to large data exports

These refinements may be small on their own, but together they create a more intuitive and enjoyable HR experience.

Looking ahead to what’s coming in 2026

As we head into the new year, our focus remains on making HR workflows more connected, intelligent and effortless.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming next:

  • HR Analytics – powerful new dashboards built on our enhanced Humanforce Analytics platform, giving leaders deeper visibility into workforce trends, with AI-driven insights and natural language querying that surfaces what matters most.
  • Deeper HR and Benefits (Thrive) connectivity – next year, we’ll continue to bring more HR interactions into the Thrive app to help create a more unified experience across the Humanforce suite. Some additions include:
  • Rewards & Recognition within Thrive, powered by the HR people directory – enabling lightweight, mobile-first recognition moments across the workforce
  • Mobile onboarding flows – allowing new starters to complete key steps directly within Thrive
  • In-app employee detail updates – giving staff the ability to update personal details more easily, without switching platforms
  • Position management – a structured, centralised way to define, track and govern positions across your organization, helping to improve workforce planning, job hierarchy clarity and driving alignment between HR, Finance and Operations.
  • Bulk contract issuing – we’ll be introducing a new bulk contracts capability soon that simplifies high-volume contract processes, reducing manual effort during mass hiring, contract updates and remuneration cycles.
  • The next phase of Compensation Planner, bringing deeper insights and richer pay decision-making tools.
  • Expanded cross-suite connectivity, deepening the flow of data across HR, Talent, WFM, Benefits and Payroll.

There’s a lot more on the horizon, and your feedback will continue to guide what we build next.

Thank you for your continued partnership, insights and feedback throughout 2025. Many of this year’s improvements were shaped directly by customer suggestions, a reminder that the best part of Humanforce is the community that uses it.

We can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.

2025 Workforce Management Wrap Up

2025 was a pivotal year for Humanforce customers, as we empowered frontline and flexible workforces with an employee-led, AI-powered Workforce Management platform.

As frontline work grows more complex, with rising compliance demands, tight labour markets, and higher expectations for fairness and flexibility, Humanforce continues to deliver intelligent, employee-led innovation.

Across rostering, compliance, time capture, pay accuracy, and employee experience, Humanforce released enhancements that made workforce operations faster, smarter, and more connected. Now, let’s recap the key developments launched this year that customers and their workforces are benefiting from worldwide.

Rostering & Scheduling

Humanforce dramatically advanced rostering with Event Rostering, now generally available and designed for large-scale, multi-day, multi-location workforce planning. Managers gained powerful tools including multi-view roster layouts, labour groups, advanced clock-in rules, award interpretation previews, bulk shift creation/editing, improved alerting, and seamless template-to-roster generation.

Benefits include faster roster build times, higher compliance confidence, greater cost control, and smarter staffing decisions supported by detailed event analytics.

New capabilities such as bulk assign/unassign, multi-day and multi-role shift creation, location grouping, overtime alerts, and consistent 24-hour time formatting improved clarity and efficiency, while UI refinements made managing large, complex rosters easier than ever.

Finally, we were also proud to introduce Shift Consent, a new way employers can easily stay on top of compliance and better manage costs by registering employee consent for shifts that either have been changed or are newly added shifts, via their mobile phones using Humanforce Work App.

Employee Management

Employee profiles became more accurate and intuitive with improvements to role revisions, pay rate handling, banking formats, qualification syncing, and visibility controls.

The introduction of cross-suite employee data connectivity (HR → WFM → Payroll) ensured information flows automatically and accurately, reducing onboarding delays and admin overhead.

Permission enhancements around sensitive fields further strengthened governance and privacy.

Leave & Availability

Humanforce delivered more reliable and compliant leave handling through:

•    Automatic unassignment from overlapping rostered shifts

•    Smarter blackout-period overrides

•    New alerting for insufficient leave balances (mirroring Back Office capability)

•    Improved handling of recurring vs override availability

These updates ensure managerscan approve leave confidently while maintaining coverage and compliance.

Timesheets & Attendance

2025 introduced major improvements in timesheet speed, clarity, and compliance control, through Multi-level Timesheet Approval which supports layered approval workflows, giving organisations stronger governance, auditability, and pay-related accuracy.

Clocking

Clocking workflows became more intuitive with smarter shift transfers, accurate time-zone handling via API, and break prompts that reflect true rostered entitlements. Employees gained smoother, clearer time capture experiences, directly improving payroll accuracy and employee trust.

Awards & Payrun

Humanforce strengthened pay interpretation with:

•    Expanded award profile logic

•    New payroll exports (e.g., Rockfast, Sybiz Visipay, Smartly, PayGlobal)

•    Consolidated allowance exports

•    Manual daily payrun interpretation for fine-tuned adjustments

These updates give payroll teams greater control, accuracy, and flexibility.

Workforce Analytics

Workforce Analytics gained powerful new dimensions, including:

•    Charge-out reporting for rosters and timesheets

•    Additional employee data fields (e.g., CreatedBy, Default Period)

•    Performance boosts across dashboard widgets

The result: clearer, richer insights for leaders and operational teams.

Security

Humanforce introduced stricter access-level enforcement, improved field-level permission alignment, single-primary-contact rules, and reliable syncing of sensitive attributes (e.g. tax exemptions). These changes improve data integrity and governance across all workforce data.

Alerts & Notifications

Alerts became more accurate, more configurable, and more visible, including:

•    Expanded roster alerts (min/max period hours, qualification checks, unavailability conflicts)

•    Shift confirmation and messaging error visibility

•    Real-time overtime and award-related warnings

These improvements reduce scheduling risks and strengthen compliance.

WFM specific Tip processing integrations

Two major integrations, Tip Sheet and On The Monee, automate tip pooling using approved timesheet data.

 Benefits include:

•    Fair, transparent, rules-based tip distribution

•    Automatic payments to staff

•    Reduced payroll workload

•    Improved staff morale and trust

Connected Employee Data (HR → WFM → Payroll)

This suite-wide connectivity dramatically reduces admin time, improves accuracy, and ensures employees are paid correctly.

Messaging

Messaging within Workforce Management was strengthened with improved messaging capability, making communication faster and more reliable for managers and frontline staff; especially when coordinating rosters, confirmations, and shift changes.

Looking ahead to 2026

Humanforce Workforce Management in 2025 delivered a significant leap forward in operational efficiency, compliance assurance, and employee empowerment. With transformative capabilities like Event Rostering, Shift Consent, Multi-Level Timesheet Approval, Messaging enhancements, and automated tip processing integrations, Humanforce has delivered a more intelligent, more connected, and more intuitive WFM ecosystem, built for the dynamic, large-scale, compliance-intensive workforces.

We are excited about a wave of employee-led, AI-powered innovations being unleashed to customers in the new year, including Smart Scheduling, WFM Analytics, and more.

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.66

We’re pleased to announce the upcoming release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.66, delivering improvements across rostering, leave, payroll exports, timesheets, templates, and system performance. These enhancements support more accurate scheduling, stronger data integrity, smoother workflows, and a reliable experience during the end-of-year period.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 27 November 2025
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, 10 December 2025

Holiday Season Release Schedule

Release Freeze: Friday 12 December 2025 – Monday 12 January 2026

To ensure stability throughout the busy holiday period, we will be pausing the Humanforce Cloud release schedule from Friday 12 December 2025 through Monday 12 January 2026. This pause helps ensure smooth operations for customers during a high-activity time of year.

Our first Humanforce WFM release for 2026 will take place on Wednesday, 14 January, with release notes published the following week (week commencing 19 January 2026). We will then resume our normal release cadence.

Back Office to Humanforce Cloud

We continue to transition key configuration, payroll, and templating capabilities from Humanforce Back Office into Humanforce Cloud. The following updates improve parity between platforms and reduce reliance on legacy tools.

New option to control template generation date behaviour

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Template Generation now allows you to choose whether to:

  • Respect the template’s original Start Date (Effective Date) - ideal for multi-week templates where shift patterns must align week-to-week, or
  • Generate from any date you select - useful for one-off events or restarting patterns after a break.

This improvement ensures template generation behaves consistently with Back Office and gives you greater control over how recurring patterns are continued.

Help guide: Generate a roster template in Template Manager.

Event templating with Labour Groups

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Template Manager now fully supports Labour Groups for event-based planning. When viewing a single day, you can create labour groups and associate shifts directly to those groups. This helps event-based teams organise staff more clearly, maintain structure during planning, and reuse templates with greater accuracy.

This enhancement replaces the Back Office event template workflow. However, Back Office event templates created in Event Planner are not compatible with Humanforce Cloud and will not appear in Template Manager. If you need to bring a Back Office template into Humanforce Cloud, you can import the roster into Roster Manager, then use “Save as Template” to create a Cloud-compatible version. For detailed steps, please refer to the updated help guide.

Help guide: Use Labour Groups in Template Manager.

Import Template now supports Labour Groups

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Templates containing Labour Groups can now be imported into Roster Manager with all groups and shifts preserved. Labour Groups are created automatically, and shifts are placed correctly in each group, ensuring template structure is replicated seamlessly during live roster creation.

Save as Template now supports Labour Groups

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

When saving a roster as a template, the Keep Labour Groups checkbox now ensures your existing labour group structure is preserved. This keeps templates consistent with the roster layout you designed, especially useful for event repeatability.

Help guide: Save a roster as a template.

PayGlobal Timeband Export – consolidation of adhoc allowances

Management > Timesheets > Payroll > PayGlobal Timeband Export

The PayGlobal Timeband Export has been migrated from Back Office to Web, introducing a smarter export logic that consolidates multiple adhoc allowances for a single timesheet into a single line. Each allowance is now allocated to separate columns, ensuring totals and values are aggregated accurately while streamlining export management and improving reporting clarity.

Rostering

Bulk Add Shifts now supports Custom Fields

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

You can now include Custom Roster Fields when creating shifts using Bulk Add Shifts, ensuring important operational details are captured consistently at scale. This update reduces manual cleanup and provides richer, more accurate shift data from the moment shifts are created.

Improved sorting consistency in the Roster by Roles Report

Reports > Roster > Roster by Roles

The Roster by Roles report now presents shifts in a more reliable order when Order shifts by start time is turned off. This refinement ensures predictable grouping and makes the report easier to read and analyse, especially for multi-role rosters.

Bid Manager

Management > Shift > Bid Manager

Hourly Rate now displays correctly when a Rate Override is applied

The Hourly Rate column in Bid Manager now correctly displays values when a Rate Override has been applied in the employee’s role revision. Previously, this value showed as $0.00, creating uncertainty for managers reviewing bids. This fix ensures the displayed rate accurately reflects the employee’s pay configuration, improving transparency during bid evaluation.

Timesheets and Clocking

Enhanced Split Timesheet screen performance

Management > Timesheets > Split Timesheet

We’ve optimised the Split Timesheet process to reduce load time and eliminate interface delays, making it faster and easier to review and adjust long or complex timesheets. These performance improvements ensure a smoother experience for payroll administrators and managers working with high volumes of data.

Faster performance on the Clocking page

Clocking

The Clocking page now loads faster thanks to optimised retrieval of timesheet data. This update delivers a smoother experience for employees when clocking out, particularly in high-volume environments or when multiple timesheets are associated with a single user.

Employee Availability

Employee > Availability

Improved unavailability management during leave block-out periods

We’ve improved availability management so that users with permission to submit requests during black-out periods can now correctly select “Unavailable” on block-out days. This ensures authorised employees can still manage their availability as intended without receiving permission errors, supporting better workforce planning and compliance during restricted periods.

Employee Management

Management > Employee > Employee Management

Enhanced auto-population of profiles and pay rates when assigning roles

When adding new roles to an employee, the system now correctly auto-populates profile and pay rate details even for users without permission to manually create pay class revisions. This ensures that the “Auto populate employee profile and rate when adding new roles” setting works consistently, preventing incomplete or misleading updates and maintaining data integrity across employee records.

Default role selection consistency when Start Date edits are restricted

We’ve enhanced role and department assignment behaviour so that an employee’s default role remains correctly selected when users without Start Date edit permissions add new departments. This ensures consistent role assignment and avoids accidental unselection of defaults when managing employee configurations across teams with different permission levels.

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.65

We’re excited to announce the release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.65. This release delivers impactful improvements across file imports, rostering, leave accuracy, payroll, permissions and analytics, making WFM faster, clearer and more reliable. These updates reduce manual effort, remove legacy dependencies and streamline everyday workflows, giving teams greater accuracy and efficiency across scheduling, data management and reporting.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 13 November 2025
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, 26 November 2025

Roster Manager

Roster Manager > Actions > Edit

Shift times can now be adjusted backward or forward in bulk

Bulk Edit Shifts now supports adjusting shift start, break and end times forward or backward by a custom number of minutes. Event managers and roster planners can instantly apply timing changes such as delays or early finishes across many shifts at once, streamlining last-minute roster adjustments and reducing manual editing. For example, this helps account for event delays, additions, early or late finishes due to unpredictable schedule changes to an event.

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Updated ‘Assign & Unassign’ roster permission

The “Assign & Unassign Only” permission in Roster Manager has been updated and renamed into a standard permission; “Assign & Unassign.” This permission is now required for all shift assignment actions, including Fill Shift, Bulk Assign/Unassign, Re-assign, and editing a shift’s assignee.

For existing users who previously had either “Assign & Unassign Only” or “Allow Shift Editing” will automatically retain the correct access. Additionally, managing Shift Offers will now require both “Assign & Unassign” and “Allow to Offer Rosters.”

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Improved error visibility in request confirmation dialog

When a bulk send cannot find any valid shifts during the Request Confirmation workflow, the warning is now displayed directly in front of the confirmation dialog, preventing scenarios where the dialog remained open with no user feedback. Users can quickly assess the messages and take action accordingly.

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Improved overtime warning display in Shift Editor

Overtime warnings have been refined to show all applicable overtime components when multiple overtime types are triggered. Rather than multiple scattered alerts, all overtime warnings now appear in a single consolidated alert panel, improving clarity and ensuring roster editors can make informed decisions.

Leave Management

Admin > Award Config > Shift type settings

Updated leave accrual eligibility threshold

The leave accrual rule “Apply this rule when Employee has worked at least…” now works consistently with the configured service threshold. Accruals will only begin once the employee reaches the configured service years (e.g., 7 years for Long Service Leave), preventing early projections and ensuring long-term accuracy of accrual forecasting.

Admin > System Config > Leave block-outs

Blackout periods excluding Shift Types

Leave applications now properly allow leave during blackout periods when the associated shift type is configured as excluded from the blackout. These shifts are no longer greyed-out and are now correctly restricted. This ensures blackout rules fully match the customer’s configuration and is clearer when employees are applying for leave.

Workforce Analytics

Management > Advanced > Workforce Analytics

Performance optimisation for multi-widget dashboards

Dashboard performance has been optimised through reduced database calls. This removes redundant load, dramatically improves dashboard speed, and stabilises system performance during peak reporting periods for a smoother overall workforce reporting experience.

Administation

Admin > Org structure

Location code updates

Administrators can now reliably update Location Codes, with all changes persisting correctly to the database. This ensures accurate location data management and eliminates the need for workarounds.

Integration Central

Management > Advanced > Integration Central

Additional Roles & Role Revisions File Import Available

A major enhancement within Integration Central introduces a new file-based import type allowing users to upload additional Roles and Role Revisions for an employee.

Users can now upload additional roles after an employee’s basic profile is created, along with the pay related revision history.

The import supports unlimited rows (within a 15Mb file limit), full field-mapping controls, inheritance logic for role revisions, and robust validation with detailed error logs. Enhanced logs include row-level success/error status and downloadable error files via URL or SFTP. This modernised import process enables a faster onboarding of employees. Any customers using Back Office file imports can now utilise this file import to import employee data.
