New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.78

Announcing the release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.78. This release delivers a more seamless rostering experience, streamlines payroll exports by bringing additional connectors into WFM, and introduces a new bulk import capability for labour group allocations that cuts enterprise setup time significantly. You'll also find richer budget data in Workforce Analytics.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 4th June, 2026.
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, 17th June, 2026.

Rostering & Templates

Roster Manager – paid breaks more visible in costing preview

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

The award interpretation preview in Roster Manager breaks down the costs of a shift - and now it correctly accounts for paid breaks when calculating shift costs. Previously, paid break details could be omitted from the preview request, so cost estimates may not have matched what the costing engine would produce with the full break configuration. Roster managers with paid break configurations can now trust that cost previews reflect the actual rostered break structure.

Note: Only applies if the "Enable Rostering Paid Breaks" system setting is ON.

Roster Manager – drag-and-drop now reaches the last day column

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager / Template Manager

Drag-and-drop in Roster Manager and Template Manager now works reliably across all day columns, including the last column, regardless of your browser window width. You can confidently move and copy shifts to any day in your roster without needing to resize your window, making shift scheduling faster and more intuitive.

Clocking, Timesheets & Breaks

Timesheet Admin – Overlapping filter accuracy

Management > Timesheets > Timesheet Admin

The Overlapping filter in Timesheet Admin has been improved in the way it handles adjacent timesheets when one of them had zero minutes (duration). You can now use the filter with added confidence, knowing that only genuinely overlapping timesheets will appear in your results. This reduces false positives and saves time when reviewing timesheet data, so you can focus on resolving real scheduling conflicts.

Payroll, Costing & Awards

Adjustment Payrun – employee breakdown now accessible with negative deductions

Management > Timesheets > Payroll

Opening an employee's pay breakdown in an Adjustment Payrun no longer throws an error when the employee has a negative deduction. You can now review all adjustment details without interruption, ensuring a smoother payroll review process and eliminating the need to refresh the page to continue working.

Rockfast consolidated payroll export – leave pay types fully included

Management > Timesheets > Payroll

The Rockfast consolidated payroll export now uses the same inclusion logic as the non-consolidated export and Back Office EXE for leave pay types, including those whose configured Default Shift Type is not marked as a leave type. This helps ensure consolidated exports capture the relevant pay types consistently and supports smoother payroll processing.

Reporting & Analytics

Workforce Analytics – additional datapoints for Sales Budget

Management > Advanced > Reporting

New Budget Sales, Budget Labour, and Budget % fields are now available in the Workforce Analytics Sales Budget datasource and built-in report template. This gives you richer budget visibility alongside your existing forecast and actual figures, enabling more comprehensive labour cost analysis and planning directly within WFA.

Employee Management & Imports

Labour Group Allocation Import – bulk setup via Integration Central

Integration Central > File Imports

You can now upload labour group allocation records in bulk to Humanforce WFM using Integration Central. This new file import supports creating, updating, and deleting labour group allocations, assigning shift types, and configuring location, department, and role allocation percentages. Use ad-hoc uploads or scheduled SFTP imports to streamline setup and ongoing maintenance at scale. Learn how to prepare and upload your import file.

Back Office to Cloud Migration

Payroll exports – Payline, Kingstreet, Talent2, and Comacc now available in WFM

Management > Timesheets > Payroll

Additional Payroll exports for the below payroll systems can now be run directly from Humanforce WFM, following the configuration of your payroll company with the correct identifier and settings.

  • Comacc Identifier: COMACC01
  • Talent2 Identifier: TALENT2_CONFIG1
  • Kingstreet (KINGpay) Identifier: KINGSTREET_CONFIG1
  • Payline Identifier: PAYLINE_CONFIG1

New Release! Work App - Version 1.27

We're excited to announce Humanforce Work App version 1.27, which brings expanded manager timesheet filters, improved timesheet permissions and attachment handling, and a range of bug fixes across scheduling, clocking, payslips, and shift bids.

Release Schedule

iOS and Android Work App v1.27 is expected to be available in the week of 15th June 2026.

Manager Timesheet Filters

Home > Timesheets

Managers can now filter the Timesheet Authorisation screen by Employment Type, Shift Type, and Function - in addition to the Area and Event filters added in v1.26. All filter list screens now include a search bar for faster navigation. These changes apply to both iOS and Android.

Timesheet Attachments

Earnings > Timesheets

Employees with the Allow Attachments permission can now view, add, and manage timesheet attachments directly from the timesheet details screen - without needing edit access. Previously, the attachment section was only reachable through the Edit Timesheet screen, which meant employees whose role requires attaching documents were blocked entirely if they did not have edit permission. (iOS & Android)

Employee Timesheet Visibility

Earnings > Timesheets and Home > This Pay Cycle

For employees without the View Timesheet permission, the app now correctly removes timesheet-related content across the app rather than displaying errors or inaccessible screens. Specifically: the Earnings tab no longer appears in the bottom navigation; the pay cycle section on the home screen (authorised hours, payable hours, and the View Earnings button) is hidden; and employees who clock out are returned to the clocking screen instead of being shown a timesheet they cannot access. Previously, this content was visible but would show an error when tapped, a confusing experience for employees on restricted configurations. (iOS & Android)

Chat

Messages > Chat

Group chat channel owners on iOS can now name and rename their group chats, matching existing functionality on Android.

Leave & Availability

Schedule > Leave / Availability

  • Resolved an issue with leave and availability records being tappable even when the Allow leave requests to be made permission was turned off (iOS & Android)
  • The Apply for Leave button was visible to users who did not have leave request permission (iOS & Android), and is now hidden
  • Users on iOS are now able to correctly set overnight availability on iOS
  • Resolved an issue where the time picker was not visible when setting leave or availability times (Android)

Shift Bids

Schedule > Bid

  • Shift hours were missing on the Shift Bid/Offer screen when View Roster End Times was turned off (iOS)
  • Incorrect shift bid details were shown when a user had more than 50 bids (Android)
  • Resolved an issue with the app sometimes crashing on the Shift Bid Details screen (Android)

Timesheets & Earnings

Earnings

  • The Earnings screen was not refreshing after actions such as starting a shift or deleting a timesheet from the Manager screen - navigating back to Earnings would show outdated data. The screen now correctly reloads on navigation to reflect the latest state (iOS)

Payslips

Earnings > Payslips

  • Payslips were limited to 20 pay periods. The full history is now accessible (Android)

Noticeboard

Messages > Noticeboard

  • Resolved an issue where PDF attachments were failing to open due to a missing dot between the filename and extension (iOS)

Clocking

  • The clocking screen was incorrectly prompting users to end their shift after navigating from the Home screen (iOS)

Notifications

  • Push notifications for shift-related issues (such as shifts with missing required fields) were not being delivered to some Android users. Improved logic ensures these notifications are now shown correctly. We have also added enhanced error tracking to help troubleshoot push notification issues more effectively in future (Android)

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.77

We're pleased to announce the release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.77, which brings improvements across shift management, timesheet accuracy, payroll exports, and award costing. This release refines bid and offer workflows in Roster Manager, extends the range of supported payroll export identifiers, introduces a new award option for managing pay rates across non-default roles, and further enhancements detailed below.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, 21st May, 2026.
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated to version 6.0.77 overnight on Wednesday, 3rd June, 2026.

Rostering & Templates

Drag & Drop to Move shifts between days, employees and more

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Editing rosters just got faster and more intuitive: Dragging a shift now supports moving it, rather than just copying it. This works consistently across People view, Role view, and inside the Template Editor, with real-time updates so the roster reflects changes instantly.

Moving is now the default behaviour. To copy (duplicate) a shift instead, hold ALT (or Option on Mac) while dragging — a visual indicator will confirm the shift will be copied when dropped.

Simple schedule adjustments can be made directly in the grid without opening an edit window.

  • Move shifts across employees or days by clicking, dragging, and dropping them into a new position within the grid.
  • Move shifts between roles, groups, and departments — for example, dragging a shift to another area or department to quickly update that detail.

Role View – roles without shifts are more visible, with or without grouping

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

In Role view, roles that have no shifts in the selected date range now remain visible as rows when you apply Location or Department based filters — whether or not a Group By option is active. Previously, applying any filter or grouping mode could cause empty role rows to disappear, making it a real challenge to create shifts against those hidden roles. Roles matching the current filter scope now always appear in the grid, giving managers full visibility into their role structure to review and build rosters with greater confidence.

In the situation where you want to hide empty rows from the Role view, you can add the Assignment filter and select both Assigned and Unassigned, as this engages shift-specific filters which tells the grid to hide rows with no shifts.

Bulk Assign with fairer, faster prioritisation by showing earliest bids/offers

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager > Actions > Bulk Assign

When you have multiple identical shifts that require filling, the Bulk Assign action enables rostering managers to quickly find suitable staff and assign the shifts with just a few clicks.

This workflow has been improved further to reveal bids and offers for any one of the identical shifts against each employee. This ensures all candidates for the shift are evaluated fairly, by comparing their Bid and Offer times for any of those shifts in a single view.

The system displays the earliest bid or offer time against each employee so you can be sure of prioritizing those staff who expressed their interest in a timely manner ahead of later bids or staff yet to place a bid.

Assign Shift –  showing Shift Offer confirmation check when strictly necessary

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

When assigning an employee to a shift that has only bids (and no active offers), the Shift Offer confirmation dialog is no longer shown. Previously, this prompt could appear unnecessarily during the Fill Shift > Assign flow when bid records were present, even though no offers had been sent. The check now correctly distinguishes between bids and offers, so managers see only relevant confirmations when completing an assignment.

Labour Group End Time now used as default shift end time

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

When adding a shift to a Labour Group in Roster Manager, the Labour Group End Time is now used as the default shift end time, providing a more sensible default value for the shifts created into the group.

Previously, shifts could default based on your standard shift period settings - even when the Labour Group was configured with a specific end time. This applies to single and bulk shift additions, Template Editor, Shift view, and Role view.

Clocking & Timesheets

Timesheet Admin – surfacing timesheets whose Location or Department is deactivated

Management > Timesheets > Timesheet Admin

Timesheets recorded against a Location or Department that has since been deactivated now remain visible in the Timesheet Admin screen, with a clear alert indicating which element is inactive. Previously, these timesheets were excluded from results, making it difficult to find, audit or modify these historical records. Deactivated Roles and unassigned Department/Role combinations are also now flagged with a visual indicator.

Timesheet Admin – editing Start Time on the last day of a 31-day month

Management > Timesheets > Timesheet Admin

We’ve addressed a scenario around manually editing the Start Time on a timesheet dated on the last day of a 31-day month (for example, March 31 or October 31) so that it no longer changes the timesheet date to the 1st of that month. This could previously occur when the time field was cleared and a new value was entered while the current calendar month had fewer than 31 days.

Leave & Awards

Leave Approvals – attachments on multi-day leave requests preserved when one day is deleted

Management > Availability > Leave Approvals

We’ve improved how multi-day leave requests handle attachments. If one day needs to be deleted or rejected, the shared file now stays put for the rest of the request—so approvers can keep things moving and employees don’t have to re-upload documents.

New option in Awards to apply default rate when working a non-default role

Admin > Awards

Our Awards module has been enhanced to support more flexibility for employees working non-default roles. The option — "When working non-default role, use pay rate from employee's default role if higher" — is now available on the General tab of the Award Profile settings within the Back Office interface.

When enabled, an employee working in a non-default role that carries a lower rate of pay than their default role will be paid at the higher default rate. If the non-default role rate is higher, the higher rate still applies. This calculation is performed on a per-shift basis and only applies when the employee is working outside their default role.

Integrations

Public API – PATCH timesheet with comment now handled gracefully

Public API > PATCH /api/1.0/timesheets/{guidKey}

Patching an active timesheet via the Public API to add or update a comment now completes successfully. Previously, a PATCH request to an active timesheet — where only the comment field was being updated — could result in an HTTP 500 error. This affects integrations that use the Public API to annotate timesheets without modifying shift times.

Bulk Roster Import now available in Integration Central

Management > Advanced > Integration Central

We’ve introduced Bulk Roster Import in Integration Central, bringing the existing DEX roster import capability into the web-based experience.

This enhancement allows users to upload roster shift data via CSV to create, edit, assign, and delete shifts in bulk, reducing the need for manual roster entry and removing the dependency on remote desktop access.

This feature is especially valuable for large-scale event staffing, where thousands of agency staff may need to be assigned to shifts from a single file. By moving this capability into Integrations Central, users can manage bulk roster imports through a modern web-based workflow with improved accessibility, clearer error handling, and full auditability.

Face Recognition v2 - WFM Kiosks

Improved facial recognition reliability

Facial recognition v2 for web-based kiosks has been enhanced to consistently detect registered employees, improving recognition reliability across kiosks - particularly in cases where new faces were only just added to the system. This update helps deliver a smoother, more dependable clock-in experience for your workforce

Simpler management of facial registration images

Management > Employee > Employee Management

Admins can now view registered Facial Recognition v2 images directly from the Employee Management and Biometric Registration pages, making it easier to verify employee registration and image quality.

When re-registration is required, admins can delete Facial Recognition v1 and v2 registration data. To protect this sensitive action, deletion is controlled by the new “Allow deletion of facial registrations” permission.

Introducing Sales Budget in Roster Manager

We're excited to introduce Sales Budget — a powerful capability now in Roster Manager that's designed to help managers align labour scheduling with sales performance in real time.

By integrating sales budgets, forecasts, and actuals directly into the rostering experience, managers can make more informed decisions, optimise labour spend, and stay on track with business targets — all without leaving Roster Manager.

🔥 What's New

Sales Budget embeds key financial and operational metrics directly into the scheduling workflow, giving you real-time visibility of valuable commercial data when you need it. Key capabilities include:

  • Track forecast vs actual performance
View and compare forecast sales, actual sales, forecast labour, and actual labour at a departmental level to monitor performance against targets.
  • Compare against Labour and Sales Budgets
In addition to forecasts and actuals, you can now track your Budgeted Labour and Budgeted Sales targets directly in the Roster Manager panel. These longer-term budget figures, typically set at the start of the year or half-yearly, give managers an at-a-glance view of how forecasts and actuals are tracking against plan.
  • Measure labour-to-sales ratios with ease
Key percentages such as labour cost as a proportion of sales are calculated automatically, helping you stay within budget and identify overspend early.
  • Input and manage sales and budget data your way
Add forecast, actual, and budget figures for sales and labour manually within the Sales Budget screen, or import data in bulk via CSV for seamless integration with your existing planning processes.
  • Flexible leave handling in labour calculations
A new setting lets you choose whether leave timesheets are included or excluded from Actual Labour values — giving you a more accurate picture of productive labour costs where it matters.
  • Access insights directly in rostering views
Enable Sales Budget visibility in Roster Manager to make informed scheduling decisions without switching screens.
  • Leverage reporting and analytics
Use built-in reports and dashboards to analyse sales and labour performance trends and export data for deeper insights.

⭐ Why it Matters

Sales Budget in Roster Manager empowers organisations to connect workforce planning with real business performance, ensuring managers, organisations, and their employees all benefit.

  • Managers: Make confident, data-driven rostering decisions with clear visibility into how labour aligns with sales targets, and now, how it tracks against longer-term budget plans.
  • Organisations: Control labour costs, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive profitability by aligning staffing levels with both short-term demand and annual budget targets.
  • Employees: Benefit from more balanced schedules that reflect actual business needs, reducing overstaffing or understaffing.

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.76

Our latest release of WFM version 6.0.76 delivers a focused set of workflow and reliability improvements across rostering and timesheets. Roster managers will see a new Sales Budget view to drive labour optimisation, plus more consistent behaviour in Fill Shift flows and Template Manager, while payroll teams benefit from more accurate overlap handling for zeroed-out timesheets and better sorting in Timesheet Admin.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Rostering & Templates

Optimise Rosters by visualising Sales, Labour and Budgets in Roster Manager

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

Rostering managers can now surface their department’s budget, forecast and actual operational sales (or revenue) and labour costs, directly in the roster - helping identify overspend before it happens and better aligning staffing levels to the expected demand.

Humanforce combines your supplied budget data and sales forecasts with our projected roster costs and actual shift costs to help you make informed decisions when it comes to optimising your labour requirements across a day, week or month. The percentage indicators make it easy to understand when your labour numbers are at risk of surpassing the sales/revenue figures, so you can spot potential over-cost situations and maintain tighter control over labour-to-revenue ratios.

For more information on using Sales Budget in Roster Manager, review our help article here.

Fill Shift – Using the Select All option when offering shifts

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager > Fill Shift

Using the Select All checkbox in the Fill Shift Offer tab has been adjusted to limit the offer to the valid employees shown as selected. Previously, proceeding after Select All could result in the system attempting to send shift offers to employees who are not fully configured for SMS or Push Notifications, causing unwanted noise and warnings for the user.

Fill Shift – Improved display of the Period + Leave hours

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager > Fill Shift

The Period + Leave hours value in Fill Shift allows a rostering manager to understand the total hours already allocated to an employee across the period, informing their decision on whether to offer or assign the shift to the employee.

This value has been adjusted to better total all approved leave requests within the pay period, not just the first one. Previously, if an employee had two or more approved leave requests in the same period, only the hours from the first request were factored into the calculation — meaning the employee might be offered shifts that would push them over their configured maximum roster hours once all leave was accounted for.

Template Editor – Labour Groups included when duplicating templates

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Duplicating a template allows a roster manager to quickly clone the entire template to efficiently build out a new template - without affecting the original. This process has been improved to correctly carry across all Labour Groups, including those with no shifts assigned.

Clocking, Timesheets & Breaks

Home screen has a new visual group for manually added timesheets

Home > (My Team)

The Attendance Summary on the Home screen now reflects the status of timesheets that were manually created from a no-show roster item. Employees with a manually added timesheet against their shift no longer appear as no-shows in the summary, but have their own group - helping managers track unactioned No-shows from ones that have been converted already.

Timesheets – zero-hour timesheets no longer flagged as overlaps

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

A timesheet where Pay Start and Pay End are set to the same time (zero hours) is no longer treated as overlapping a subsequent timesheet for the same employee on the same day. This preserves the ability to retain a clocking record without it counting as payable time, while still allowing a second timesheet to be processed for that employee. Previously, the overlap detection logic could flag this valid combination as a conflict, blocking save or processing.

Timesheet Admin’s sort by Last Name has been improved

Management > Timesheets > Timesheet Admin

The Timesheet Admin page includes two display options for showing employee names, however, the "Last Name, First Name" display mode was not responding to the column Sort feature if you were also grouping the Timesheets by employee. This option now behaves as expected when a grouping is applied in Timesheet Admin.

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.75

We're pleased to announce the release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.75. This release delivers targeted reliability improvements across timesheets, award interpretation, rostering compliance, and employee management — reducing manual workarounds, improving confidence in bulk operations, and ensuring payroll outcomes are accurate and consistent.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Clocking, Timesheets & Breaks

Timesheets with no rostered break - more reliable auto-authorisation

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

Timesheets for shifts imported from Template Manager, with no break defined, now auto-authorise accurately when an employee clocks in and out. Previously, these timesheets could receive a "Break requirement(s) are not met" status even when no break was required as per the configuration , preventing auto-authorisation and potentially leading to unnecessary manual review.

Saving timesheets that have an open confirmation check

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

When an admin edits a timesheet for an employee who has an active/open timesheet confirmation check, clicking "Yes" on the invalidation warning now updates the timesheet and resets the confirmation. Previously, the override response wasn't being evaluated fully, causing the warning to reappear. Now admins can apply the change and reset the confirmation check, rather than waiting for the employee’s response.

Bulk Edit Timesheets - Department & Role validation improvement

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

When using Timesheet Bulk Edit and changing the Department field, the auto-populated Role value is now correctly recognised when saving. Previously, the form may have returned a "Role is required" validation message even though the field was already populated — requiring the user to manually re-select the role before the save would proceed.

Bulk Generate Timesheets handles long roster comments text

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

Bulk timesheet generation now handles situations where the Comments field contains more than 255 characters, by limiting the input to 255 characters when copying from the roster to the timesheet. Previously, this scenario could result in the bulk generation operation to stall, requiring admins to shorten comments or generate timesheets individually to work around the limit.

Improved “Select All” Timesheets behaviour during filtering

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

Using Select All checkbox in the Timesheet Admin only applies to timesheets within the current scope. However, we’ve resolved a case where filtering by Shift Type, Reason, or Award Profile was not working in conjunction with the Select All option - meaning more timesheets than intended could be included when initiating a bulk action.

New Timesheet from Roster for individually selected items

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

When using New > Timesheet from Roster and selecting specific roster items, clicking Save All Timesheets now generates timesheets only for those selected items. Previously, all roster items in the list were included regardless of which ones you had selected - potentially generating timesheets before you were ready to.

Employee Management

Access level changes work across equivalent authorisation levels

Management > Employees > Employee Profile

Admins with the "Change access level of others above current access level" permission can now update the access level on any employee profile, including cases where the admin and the employee being edited are on different access levels that share the same authorisation level. Previously, this scenario could prevent the change from being made despite the admin holding the appropriate permission.

Employee API – PATCH response reflects updated data

API – PATCH /api/1.0/employees/{guidKey}

The Employee PATCH endpoint now returns the updated employee data in the response body immediately after a change is saved. Previously, the response could reflect the employee's state prior to the update — meaning integrations relying on the PATCH response to confirm changes may have been working from stale data. The underlying record was always saved correctly; the response now accurately reflects it.

Reporting & Analytics

Employee Codes now more visible in Workforce Analytics

Management > Advanced > Workforce Analytics

Employee Code values in the Employee Basic built-in dashboard are now visible to all users with appropriate view access, regardless of whether they have the "Edit Employee Code" field permission enabled. Previously, visibility of Employee Codes could be incorrectly tied to the edit permission, causing them to appear blank for users who were able to view but not edit the field.

New release! Humanforce Cloud Workforce Management – Version 6.0.74

We’re happy to announce the release of Humanforce Workforce Management (Cloud) version 6.0.74, focused on strengthening rostering compliance, improving award interpretation accuracy, and tightening reporting security. You’ll see earlier validation in bulk rostering workflows, clearer permission boundaries in Template Manager, more predictable award outcomes across edge cases, and reporting exports that pay strict attention to visibility controls.

Release Schedule

  • Staging environments were updated on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated overnight on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Rostering & Templates

Bulk rostering actions enforce Minimum Shift Gap compliance - upfront

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

The Bulk Assign and Bulk Edit flows have been enhanced to check Minimum Shift Gap rules before applying changes. If a bulk action would create shifts that breach your configured rest periods, the action is stopped and affected shifts are clearly highlighted. This helps roster managers avoid accidentally publishing non‑compliant patterns and reduces the time spent undoing or fixing bulk updates after the fact.

Clearer permissions for assigning and unassigning template shifts

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Assigning or unassigning shifts in a template now consistently requires the appropriate Template Manager > “Edit Template & Shifts” permission, in addition to existing rostering “Assign & Unassign” permission. People who can view templates but aren’t meant to maintain them will no longer be able to assign or unassign template schedules. This gives admins tighter control over who can roll out template changes and helps prevent unintended updates to shared roster templates.

Payroll, Costing & Awards

Manual Interpretation - better support for Back Pay and Advance Pay

Management > Timesheets > Payroll

Manual Interpretation now opens reliably for timesheets dated outside the current payrun period, including Back Pay and Advance Pay items. Payroll teams can review and override these entries using the same editor they rely on for regular timesheets, reducing the need for workarounds and helping ensure unusual scenarios are still interpreted correctly before export.

More predictable overtime level assignment for Period Threshold rules

Award Profile Costing

Period Threshold rules that reset overtime levels per day now assign overtime to Level 1 as expected when the overtime amount on a shift sits within the Level 1 duration, even when hours span different days in the period. This keeps overtime splits aligned to your configured tiers and helps payroll admins trust that level‑based overtime is being applied consistently across multi‑day patterns.

Shift Gap rules honoured across pay‑period boundaries

Award Profile Costing

When you use the “Stop when shift gap is reached” option, calculations now stop at the configured gap threshold even when the relevant shifts cross from one pay period into the next. This ensures ordinary time and higher‑rate hours are capped correctly, avoiding overpayments caused by cross‑period edge cases and keeping entitlements aligned with your intended rest‑break logic.

Fairer, more consistent Missed Break penalties

Award Profile Costing

Missed Break Penalty rules have been refined to behave more predictably in everyday use. Recurring unpaid break penalties now use the actual break end time to schedule subsequent penalty windows, rather than relying solely on the planned schedule time. In addition, the “apply penalty only for the duration of the missed break” option can now be used with scheduled breaks, aligning behaviour with rostered breaks. Together, these changes help ensure penalties reflect what actually happened on shift while still following your configured rules.

Gross‑hours thresholds trigger intelligently at the end of a shift

Award Profile Costing

Thresholds that are based on Gross hours now trigger even when an unpaid break ends at, or after, the shift end time. Allowances and other threshold‑driven components will still be applied when the total hours worked meet your configured rules, so payroll teams can rely on end‑of‑shift patterns behaving as expected without needing to manually review borderline cases.

Reporting and Analytics

Weekly Department Roster CSV includes cost‑visibility controls

Reports > Roster > Weekly Department Roster Report

When exporting the Weekly Department Roster report to CSV, only users with permission to view costs will see cost values in the export. This brings CSV exports into line with the existing PDF and Excel behaviour, ensuring sensitive information is only visible to authorised users, regardless of the chosen export format.

  • All Humanforce WFM (Cloud) accounts and UAT environments will be automatically updated to version 6.0.73 overnight on Wednesday, 8th April, 2026.

Rostering & Templates

Easily track employees without shifts in a roster period

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

The Minimum Period Hours roster alert has been extended to cover employees who have no shifts in the period. The alerts notification panel can now highlight employees who haven’t met their minimum hours, factoring in any configured leave hours, so managers can quickly spot missed rostering and stay compliant even when no shifts have been created.

Multi-shift editing for faster template maintenance

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Template Manager now supports powerful bulk editing of shifts, making it much faster to maintain accurate, compliant rosters across large templates. Easily adjust key details such as location, department, role, area, event, function, shift type, date, shift times, breaks, custom roster fields and comments. Shifts with warnings, errors or unassigned employees are clearly highlighted, so you can see potential issues at a glance while making bulk changes.

Restrict rosters that breach Minimum shift gap rules

Admin > System Config > Clock-in Settings

Minimum Shift Gap alerts can now be configured as Restrictive, preventing rosters from being saved or published when shifts would breach an employee’s award rest conditions. Conflicting shifts are clearly highlighted as errors in the notifications panel and shift editor (including templates and bulk edits), helping roster admins actively enforce minimum rest periods instead of relying on warnings alone for maximum compliance.

Tighter delete permissions for managing templates

Management > Rostering > Template Manager

Template permissions now include a dedicated Delete shifts permission for both Normal and Master templates. This allows you to grant people the ability to edit and maintain template shifts without also allowing them to delete them, giving admins more granular control and reducing the risk of accidental shift removal in shared templates.

Fill Shift and break validation improvements

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager / Template Manager

When you adjust a shift’s start or end time, those updated times now flow directly into the Advanced Search / Fill Shift dialog without needing to click away from the field first. In Template Editor, validation also correctly prevents saving shifts when the break falls outside the updated shift times, reducing invalid patterns and rework for roster admins.

Clearer character limits when requesting confirmation

Management > Rostering > Roster Manager

When sending Request confirmation messages from Roster Manager, instead of blocking you at a hard character limit, the screen shows a warning when message exceeds 175 characters - suggesting that longer messages may not be fully displayed on some mobile devices (due to limits in the devices' notification tray), so you can decide whether to shorten the text or send as‑is.

Clocking, Timesheets & Breaks

Early clock‑ins correctly affect auto‑authorisation

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

For employees clocking early into the first of several back‑to‑back rostered shifts, auto‑authorisation now correctly uses their actual clock‑in time when evaluating each split timesheet. This means the first timesheet will no longer be auto‑authorised when someone starts earlier than the configured threshold, improving accuracy and reducing manual corrections on multi‑shift days.

Paid breaks applied across auto‑divided shifts

Management > Timesheets > Timesheets

When auto‑divide is enabled and an employee clocks across multiple consecutive rostered shifts, paid breaks from each roster line are now carried through to every resulting timesheet—not just the first one. This keeps timesheets aligned to rostered paid breaks and helps payroll teams avoid missing paid break entitlements for later shifts in the sequence.

Payroll, Costing & Exports

Cintra Variance export with configurable cost fields

Management > Timesheets > Payroll

The Cintra Standard Payroll File – Variance Export now supports four additional configurable fields for Post Reference and Cost Codes 1–3. These fields can be mapped from existing Humanforce payroll tags, giving payroll teams more flexibility in how costs are grouped and posted for Cintra journals, while preserving full compatibility with existing 8‑column exports.

More accurate period threshold overtime across midnight

Award Profile Costing

The Period Threshold rule in Award Profile Costing has been refined so ordinary and overtime hours are applied accurately when shifts cross midnight. This ensures the expected overtime pay types and hour splits are honoured across the full period, improving confidence in award costing where overnight work is common.

Cost Centre Mapping – safer “Assign Cost Centres” workflow

Management > Timesheets > Payroll > Cost Centre Mapping

The Assign Cost Centres screen has been updated to preserve existing mappings when you edit a mapping’s name or export code, only updating scopes when they actually change. Selection behaviour has also been simplified so mappings are no longer auto‑ticked on row click and selected rows are cleared after assignment, making it harder to accidentally apply or overwrite cost centre mappings.

New Release! Work App - Version 1.26

We're excited to announce Humanforce Work app version 1.26, which brings a redesigned employee profile, smarter manager tools, improved shift details, and a range of bug fixes to make the app more reliable across iOS and Android.

Release Schedule

iOS and Android Work app v1.26 is expected to be available in the week of 6 April 2026.

Profile

Home > Profile

We've redesigned the employee profile screen with a cleaner, more structured layout. If your account has a payroll code assigned, it will now appear on your profile too.

Messaging & Notifications

Messages

Employees who don't have permission to send messages will no longer see the "New Chat" button.  They will be able to reply to messages sent to them (with appropriate permissions) but will not be able to initiate a message.

URLs in notification messages were not rendering as tappable hyperlinks. Links will now open correctly on tap.

Manager Timesheet Filters

Home > Timesheets

Managers can now filter timesheets by area and event, making it faster to review and authorise time for specific locations or events. Additional filters (function, shift type, and employment type) are coming in v1.27.

Shift Offer & Bid Details

Schedule

The shift offer and shift bid detail screens have been redesigned with a cleaner layout. They now display additional context, including event place, event comments, and custom roster fields, giving employees and managers more information to make the right call.

Home Screen

Home

A tooltip now appears when the "Start Work" button is disabled on a non-rostered clock-in, explaining clearly why it's unavailable.

Availability

Schedule > Availability

You can now mark your availability as "all day" without specifying exact start and end times, making it quicker to set recurring preferences.

Timesheets & Leave

Home > Timesheets & Schedule > Leave

  •  An error was displayed when submitting a leave-type timesheet with an insufficient leave balance.
  •  Employee default hours were appearing on an incorrect day (Android).
  •  Timesheets couldn't be edited unless the "Allow break editing" permission was enabled, even when breaks weren't being modified (Android).

Schedule

Schedule

  • Tapping a day in the Schedule screen previously filtered the list instead of scrolling to that day.
  •  Shift bid count was showing incorrectly on the Shift Bid Details screen when duplicate shifts existed (Android).
  •  The "duplicate shift" button in Manager > Attendance > No start > Replace is now correctly disabled when the user doesn't have permission to add shifts.

Clocking

Home & Clocking

  • The geo-fence location accuracy prompt appeared even when geo-fencing was not enabled (Android).
  •  The clock-out reminder continued to appear after a user selected "No thanks" (iOS).

General UI and Performance Improvements

  • The "View Role" permission was not being respected across multiple screens, including Team view, Schedule, Shift Offer/Bid, and home-screen shift cards.
  •  An incorrect confirmation message appeared when cancelling leave that was already in "Cancellation requested" status.
